Love Island fans spot Curtis gets so excited over new girl Arabella he pokes himself in the eye
LOVE Island fans spotted Curtis Pritchard poke himself in the eye after getting overexcited by new girl Arabella Chi.
The 23-year-old dancer was the first to spot the bombshell in last night’s episode of the ITV2 dating show.
In a preview for Arabella’s arrival, viewers thought that Curtis‘ dramatic reaction to the 28-year-old model meant that he knew who she was.
However, the Islander was simply surprised to see the bombshell sunning herself on a lounger first thing in the morning.
Spotting the blonde beauty from the kitchen, Curtis’ jaw dropped open as he whipped off his hat and sunglasses to get a better look.
He then walked over to greet Arabella, asking how she was as he tried to play it cool.
But Curtis slipped up as he casually went to put his sunglasses back on only to poke himself in the eye.
The hunk pulled the embarrassing gaffe off like a pro, with Arabella seemingly not noticing as Curtis opted against attempting a second time.
Unfortunately for the star, viewers at home were more observant than his fellow Islander, with one tweeting a clip of the moment alongside the caption: “Trying to act like he didn’t just poke himself in the eye.”
Another added: “Smoooooth Curtis, poke yourself in the eye with ya shades during say hello, absolute whopper.”
A third said: “Did anyone else see Curtis poke himself in the eye with his glasses.”
Although Curtis doesn’t appear to have any history with Arabella, the same can’t be said for Lucie Donlan.
The 20-year-old surfer was stunned when she spotted her new housemate, realising that they had both dated last year’s Love Island star Charlie Frederick.
Greeting the newbie, Lucie gasped: “I recognise you. You’re my ex’s ex. I’ve stalked you before.”
Lucie and Charlie were a couple for six months before they broke up and Arabella dated him.
Meanwhile, Charlie took to his Instagram Story yesterday to insist that he was still dating Arabella soon before she entered the villa.
The hunk claimed he’d been “mugged off” by the model, sharing a series of screenshots that showed personal messages between the pair from earlier this month.
He wrote: “Every relationship has its ups and downs but these next screen shots are all within the last two weeks.
“I’m truly gutted and for the life of me cannot figure out why she has DONE THIS.”
In the chat, Arabella can be seen blowing hot and cold with Charlie, desperately begging him to come over to her house on more than one occasion.
