Love Island outrage as girls turn on Lucie and Joe tells her to be FRIENDS with them
LOVE Island fans were outraged tonight after Joe Garratt gave Lucie Donlan a harsh dressing down for talking to the other boys in the villa.
Stunned viewers saw her break down in tears after the girls turned on her for befriending boxer Tommy Fury before he told her: “I think it’s time for you to get close with the girls.”
He spoke to her by the firepit after he spent what she called “an excessive amount” of time talking to Tommy, telling her: “I’m not happy with it. It’s strange.”
But fans didn’t like that one bit, saying: “Why tf is everyone telling lucie who she can and can’t be friends with??? like joe is fully manipulating her she can’t bloody win🙄🙄.”
Another said she should dump him on the spot saying: “Lucie, free yourself of Joe’s shackles my dear .”
A third insisted: “Joe is a jealous creep imo, needs to turn it in trying to tell Lucie what to do 🤦🏻♂️.”
Others suggested the girls shouldn’t be so shocked that Lucie swerves them – because they’re so awful.
They posted: “Why are these girls surprised lucie doesn’t want to be their friend? They’re a bunch of whiney little f***ers.”
Another tweeted: “I actually feel so sorry for lucie, why are all the girls constantly chatting s*** about her for no reason what so ever 🤯.”
Lucie later told Tommy: “Joe thinks it’s weird that you and me are friends but he obviously hasn’t met a girl like that before.”
She added: “I don’t think it’s weird one bit. I’m fine with it and if he doesn’t like it, that’s that then.”
However, despite him joking that he wanted to couple up with Molly-Mae Hague, Joe picked Lucie again in tonight’s recoupling.
Brushing over the drama, he told her: “I feel like the happiest and luckiest guy in the world.”
The pair have been coupled up since the start of the show – but they were soon overtaken as the show’s cutest couple by Curtis Pritchard and Amy Hart.
