THE 12th episode of Love Island saw Molly-Mae Hague confront love rival Maura Higgins, while Joe Garratt expressed his concerns to Lucie Donlan after spotting the surfer and Tommy Fury sneaking off for private chats.
Then, of course, the islanders were informed that there would be another recoupling, sending shock waves through the villa. Here is the lowdown on episode 12...
What happened in Love Island last night?
The girls went head-to-head in another bizarre Love Island challenge, entitled Bridezillas, to win the title of the ultimate “Bridezilla”.
For the task, the female cast members had to battle it out in two rounds, with the first involving the girls pulling their boy up the aisle on sledges.
Once they crossed the finish line, the boy stood up and the girl placed a ring on his finger, before sealing the deal with a kiss.
As Anna Vakili, Elma Pazar and Maura Higgins were not in a couple they got to choose a man of their choice to be their potential “husband”.
Of course, Maura picked Tommy Fury and finally got to the smooch she had been craving for, while his current partner Molly-Mae Hague watched from the side-lines.
The 28-year-old model’s behaviour was brought into question during the episode, as Molly-Mae pulled her aside to discuss none other than Tommy, 20.
At the fire pit, Molly-Mae told the brunette beauty: “I woke up this morning and the first thing I’ve been told is that you went in for a kiss last night.
“I did tell you yesterday where my head was at. You keep saying you’re a girl’s girl but the fact you went in for a kiss, that’s really hurt me.”
But Maura hit back: “I do feel like me and Tommy have a connection. I don’t want to upset anyone in here.
“It’s up to Tommy. What else am I meant to do? I am in here for one reason.”
On reflection in the Beach Hut, the Irish grid girl added: “Surely I don’t have to run anything past Molly?
“She is upset that I went in for a kiss even though the kiss didn’t happen. If she told the boy that she liked him then fair enough but she didn’t.”
Elsewhere, Joe Garratt revealed he was having doubts about Lucie Donlan after watching her whispering to Tommy on the beanbags, before they headed to the kitchen together.
Confiding in Molly-Mae, he opined: “I want a happy villa. Happy families. Lucie is acting very selfishly.
“Who is she sitting with now? Tommy. I feel like she isn’t the person I met.”
He later confronted Lucie, calling her out for spending “a good hour” with the professional boxer.
Yet Lucie insisted there was nothing going on between her and Tyson Fury’s younger brother.
“Yes because I get on with him better than the girls,” she stated. “It doesn’t mean there is a romantic thing there.”
“You know I like you so much but I do doubt things at times,” Joe replied.
Meanwhile, Anton Danyluk had his own worries, with the gym owner torn between Elma, who he has a romantic connection with, and Anna, who is one of his closest friends in the villa.
He decided to speak to Anna about the situation, with the latter reassuring him he and Elma “look cute” together.
Following their conversation, he later took Elma for a chat and laid bare his feeling for the lash technician.
“I think the two of us are getting on really good. I like the direction it’s going. You’ve almost put all your cards on the table,” he offered.
“You’re making this experience how I imagined it would be in the first place.”
Later in the day, Elma received a text, which read: “Islanders. Tonight, there will be a recoupling in which the boys will choose which girl they want to couple up with.”
The news rattled the Islanders, with Molly-Mae discussing her reservations in the Beach Hut: “Obviously, I’m feeling a bit apprehensive. I just want to get tonight over and done with. I just want to know what Tommy is going to do.”
Maura was also on edge, as she said: “I don’t know what that man [Tommy] is thinking. He’s very hard to read.”

Meanwhile, Anton turned to Joe for advice, saying: “I feel a loyalty to Anna but then on the other hand, with Elma it feels like there is something there.
“I want to do the right thing by Anna but if I do that I’m jeopardising myself here.”
As the day grew to a close, the islanders gathered around the fire pit for the tense recoupling.
There were no surprises when Danny and Yewande coupled up, then Michael paired up with Amber, and Joe picked Lucie - before Anton coupled up with new girl Elma.
Tommy finally made his mind up after being torn between Molly-Mae and Maura, and chose to couple up with Molly-Mae.
Anna and Maura were left alone, but Maura received a text telling them they were heading on dates with new boys, Tom Walker and Jordan Hames who would soon be entering the villa.
In a sudden twist, Curtis received a text saying that contestants now had to vote on which couple they believe to be least compatible. Stay tuned to see how they cast their vote!
