LOVE Island fans have slammed Joe Garratt for being ‘creepy’ and ‘possessive’ with  Lucie Donlan after just 24 hours.

Joe, 22, sparked concern when last night’s preview for today’s episode showed him breaking down and having a jealous meltdown after Tommy Fury stole Lucie from him.

The catering company owner could be seen isolating himself as he sits on the decking alone, putting his head in his hands and on the verge of tears.

However, last night’s show saw viewers turn on the hunk, questioning why he has been left so upset after he “caught feelings” for Lucie after just 24 hours.

Joe was seen talking to Amber Gill about his heartache, with the curly-haired beauty stirring the pot as she told her fellow Islander to question what Lucie had said to Tommy to make him choose her.

Meanwhile, other Islanders gave Joe some time alone as they acknowledged the tough time he is having – but viewers think it is all a bit too dramatic.

Taking to Twitter, one cynical fan wrote: “These people catching feelings before they’ve even caught tans embarrassing.”

Another agreed: “Joe it been three days bro……”

A third casually asked: “Joe thought he was in a relationship after two days init?”

While someone else tweeted: “Ew Joe is actually so creepy and possessive, it’s becoming uncomfortable to watch…”

And it seems like viewers weren’t the only ones to be confused by Joe’s emotional response, with fellow Islanders Anton Danyluk and Michael Griffiths also poking fun at the hearthrob.

They joked: “If this is him after a day imagine how he’s going to be after a week?!”

Meanwhile, Lucie enjoyed a romantic date with Tommy, with the pair getting along like a house on fire over a candlelit dinner.
