AFTER failing to find love in the villa, Callum Macleod became the first contestant of Love Island 2019 to be dumped from the Island.
Here's everything you need to know about the handsome 28-year-old who prides himself on his strong views, respect of the bro code and being a believer in fairy tale romances...
Who is Callum Macleod?
Callum is a 28-year-old aircraft engineer from South Wales.
He describes himself as fun, loyal, spontaneous and someone that is big on cleaning.
When asked to rate his looks out of ten, he said: "I’m a 6.2. When I’ve got a tan it jumps up to a 6.8, sometimes a 7.
"So, hopefully in the villa I’ll be bouncing up to the 7. I blossomed as I got older.
"I’m hoping it is still rising but it plateaued a bit recently.
"I would say my best feature is my tan - give me an hour and I am golden."
When was Callum Macleod eliminated from Love Island?
Callum was the first Islander to be booted off the show in season five, after failing to woo one of the female contestants and secure a partner during the recoupling on Friday, June 7, 2019.
Of his elimination, he said: “It’s unfortunate that I didn’t meet anyone that I connected with but I had such good fun in there.
“Even though I didn’t meet anyone that I could potentially be with on the outside, I loved it, which is a great bonus.”
What's happened to Callum since leaving the villa?
Callum has been spotted with former Islanders Elma Pazar and Amy Hart.
Elma, who was not in the villa at the same time as Callum, was pictured looking cosy with the engineer and sharing a bottle of wine over a boozy lunch at the El Pirata restaurant in London's Mayfair.
There were also rumours he was dating Curtis Pritchard's former "half-girlfriend" after she posted a picture on her Instagram of the pair with a huge heart.
What is Callum Macleod's type on paper?
Although Callum says he prefers blondes, his celebrity crush is Michelle Keegan.
"I was seventeen, eighteen when she joined Corrie," he said.
"It was like my older sister bringing home a fit bird every night for tea!
"I stopped watching it when they killed off Tina."
What was Callum Macleod’s Love Island journey like?
Unfortunately, Callum did not last long in the villa and got off to a rocky start when he was partnered with Amber Gill, who brazenly labelled him “boring” hours after choosing him to pair up with.
Amber, 21, made it known they had nothing in common early on in the competition and was not shy about telling the other Islanders they were incompatible.
Naturally, the Welshman was taken aback by her unwillingness to get to known him and aired his frustrations to Yewande Biala.
He told the scientist he at least wanted to be friends with the beauty therapist and “then you get the opportunity to meet someone later on, but I’ve not even got that.”
What is Callum Macleod's dating history?
Before entering the villa, Callum opened up about some of the dates he has been on in the past.
Unfortunately, it doesn't sound as though he's had the best luck in that department.
Recalling one particularly disastrous date, he revealed: "I went to the cinema with a girl and she sat on a piece of chocolate that melted onto her leather trousers.
"She shot off to the toilet to clean them and didn’t come back for ages. I watched the majority of the film on my own.
"I later found her fretting in the toilets because she couldn’t get her trousers back on."
And unfortunately, his dates were not any more successful in the villa.
Did Callum quit his job as an aircraft engineer?
Callum quit his job to enter the iconic villa but unfortunately it didn't pay off as he didn't find love and he was the first to be dumped from the villa.
However after worried fans feared he may have to sign up to the dole, he reassured them that he had plenty of "options."
Speaking on This Morning he said:"I've got my trade, I've got my experience.
"Even if I have to go elsewhere or to another company ...
"And my boss was a huge fan of the show. He was the one who convinced me to go on it .... so there's options there."
