Love Island’s Paige Turley claims ITV haven’t paid her share of the £50,000 winners’ prize yet
LOVE Island's promise of a bumper £50,000 prize in the final remains just that for 2020 winner Paige Turley, who reveals she hasn't yet been paid for her victory.
The sassy Scot chose to share her payout from the ITV2 matchmaking series with Finn Tapp - yet has not seen a penny of it.
When she was quizzed by heat Magazine on how she had spent her share of the whopping fee, the 22-year-old candidly admitted: "I’ve not actually received [the money] just yet, but when it comes through, I’m sure there will be a shopping trip."
It remains to be seen when the broadcaster will stump up the cheque, in a series surrounded by sadness and change with the death of former presenter Caroline Flack.
Paige has previously been equally honest on what she will spend a portion of the £25,000 on - this being paying off her debts.
It came as she addressed comments made by her ex boyfriend, popstar Lewis Capaldi, who jested he should get a share of her win.
In January chart-topped Lewis joked that he deserved some of the cash if she won because he is the reason she earned a place on the ITV2 show.
But Paige said he won’t get a penny.
She told The Sun: “That’s just Lewis, it comes as no surprise he said that.
"But I can’t give him any money because once I pay off my debts there’ll be nothing left.”

Meanwhile, Paige and Finn have revealed they will start a family "quickly" and want two weddings - so no doubt they will need their winnings soon.
Scottish singer Paige, 22, would like to tie the knot in the Maldives while footballer Finn, 20, wants something a little more traditional.
He told Magazine: “I would like a big traditional church wedding in my local church because that’s where my parents and their parents got married.
“We’re going to have to come to a compromise. We can’t agree so maybe we’ll have two weddings!”
