Love Island’s Finn is setting Shaughna up with his single cousin – and reveals she wants to move in with him and Paige
LOVE Island winner Finn Tapp has vowed to set Shaughna Phillips up with his cousin.
The 20-year-old footballer dropped the bombshell in his winners' interview and girlfriend Paige Turley was all for it.
Looking ahead to life after the villa, they're even considering letting Shaughna live with them when they get their first place together.
Having settled upon Manchester as the place they want to call home, they told how they'd share it with some pet dogs and their friend Shaughna.
Paige said: "It’s got to happen – there’s three of us."
Finn added: "There are three of us!"
He was then asked if he could set her up with a single mate, and he managed to go one better.
"I’m going to have to look," he said. "Shall I set her up with my single cousin?"
A stunned Paige asked: "Why have you not said this before?"
Finn confirmed he'd make it happen so the couples could go on double dates.
Meanwhile it's been revealed Finn broke his footballing contract to go on the show but must see the rest of it out now he's back.
The Oxford City defender, 20, failed to let his club know he was going into the villa last month, but the side tweeted their support for him after learning of the news.
However, Mick Livesey, the club's commercial director, insisted Finn would respect the remainder of his contract.
He told the : "He was [in breach of his contract] but I think you need to take a pragmatic sort of view: A 20-year-old lad, he's offered all this reality TV stuff.
"He has a contract, so he has to finish the contract he has with the football club.
"He's done very, very well for us."
He added that the club would insert clauses into future contracts about reality TV appearances.
Milton Keynes lad Finn flew to South Africa in secret in a bid to find love.
An Oxford City spokesman tweeted at the time: "The club was not aware Finn Tapp was going on Love Island - this is normal protocol for all contestants. We understand and wish Finn luck on the show."
Baffled followers replied: "Wtf he just flew to South Africa and you had no idea?"
Another asked: "I guess he’s not on contract with you?" but Oxford City replied: "Hi Glen, we can confirm that Finn is one of our contracted players."
