THE debut series of Winter Love Island hasn’t been the roaring ratings success that ITV2 producers hoped it would.
So show bosses are spicing things up this weekend by introducing a second villa, Casa Amor, to the series on Sunday night and SIX new girls.
The controversial challenge will see the lads shipped off to a separate luxury bolthole in South Africa, filled with six new single female contestants.
Meanwhile, the girls will stay in the main villa to see if they have their head turned by new boys.
A telly source said: “Bosses are determined to cause a real stir this year with Casa Amor and have drafted in the sexiest singles yet.
“The new Cape Town Casa Amor is just a short distance away from the main villa and as the girls and boys split, there’ll be tons of temptation in the form of gorgeous bombshells hoping to turn heads.
“The decor will feature phrases from this year’s series such as ‘Shoot Your Shot’ and ‘Trust In Your Sauce’ written on the walls.”
The huge shake-up will is sure to bring some much-needed turmoil just as some of the villa's couples settle into their relationships.
Last night, Finn Tapp chose to stay with Paige Turley, while Callum Jones and Shaughna Phillips also opted to stick in their relationships.
However, the high-stakes recoupling saw Leanne Amaning forced out of the villa after former cop Mike Boateng decided to set his sights on Sophie Piper.
Tonight, the Islanders have no idea what is around the corner as they couple up to tackle the sex positions challenge that has become a fixture on the show.
And there is more drama involving Sophie, who breaks down in tears after her pal Shaughna Phillips tells her she'd rather keep newbie Demi Jones in the villa than her.
The 21-year-old PA, who failed to follow her man Connor Durman out of the villa when he was axed last week, was told: "I'd have felt terrible seeing Demi go compared to you, because that would have been unfair."
