Play was delayed for eight minutes while Finn was treated on the field, but he insisted on watching the second half from the subs' bench.

His club went on to lose the game 3-0, and his opponents wished him well in a tweet that read: "Everyone at the club sends our best wishes and a speedy recovery to Finn Tapp."

Despite his injury, Finn was on a plane for the 12 hour flight to South Africa just days later and will make his debut in the villa in tomorrow night's show.

His arrival was teased tonight alongside fellow newbie Connagh Howard and the girls were very excited to meet them

"I know I’ll make friends with the blokes in there too so I should be a good contender."
