ITV hit with 35,000-strong petition to have ‘sick’ hunter Ollie Williams kicked off Love Island
ITV HAVE been hit with a 35,000-strong petition to have "sick" hunter Ollie Williams kicked off Love Island.
The change.org appeal was launched at the weekend - and has already met its first target, with the next 50,000 names.
Called: "Remove Ollie Williams from Winter Love Island for Trophy Hunting!", the was launched after The Sun Online revealed that millionaire toff Ollie is a big game hunter who has posed with an array of dead animals he'd killed in Africa.
The page's description reads: "ITV allowing him to be on the show is implying that they are okay with his sick and sadistic hobby.
"Ollie Williams should not be allowed to take part or compete in the Love Island series and he should not be allowed on a such a public platform."
Defiant producers recently insisted that they had "no intention" of getting rid of Ollie because of the snaps, and he entered the villa as planned in Sunday's launch show - coupling up with Lewis Capaldi's ex Paige Thurley.
However, they are facing increasing pressure from outraged viewers - who have also complained to TV watchdog Ofcom about Ollie's appearance in the dating show.
The Sun Online revealed yesterday that they'd so far received 231 complaints about Ollie's inclusion - but are yet to decide whether or not they will take action.
The viscount-in-waiting, heir to the 2,000-acre Lanhydrock estate in Cornwall, has travelled to several foreign destinations to take part in hunts — even shooting endangered animals.
In now-deleted snaps, Ollie, 23, proudly poses beside a warthog, water buffalo and giant eland to promote his hunting business Cornish Sporting Agency.
The giant eland — a type of antelope — has been listed as vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
It has already vanished from The Gambia, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Togo.
Despite show bosses' refusal to axe Ollie, new host Laura Whitmore has spoken out against him as she admitted that she wasn't impressed by his bloodthirsty hobby.
