Love Island’s Joe Garratt and Lucie Donlan split for the second time after ‘growing apart’
LOVE Island's Joe Garratt and Lucie Donlan have split for the second time - four months after rekindling their romance.
The couple - who met on the ITV2 show - secretly split a couple of weeks ago after "growing apart".
A source told The Sun Online: "Joe and Lucie have decided to end things between them.
"They've been so busy with work lately that it's made it difficult for them to find time to see each other. They just grew apart."
After coupling up together in the villa in the first week, Lucie got feelings for Love Island latecomer Tommy Fury.
She became embroiled in a love triangle between the pair before eventually choosing Joe.
When he was unexpectedly dumped from the villa early on in the series, Lucie refused to leave with him.
Joe pledged to be single on the outside and wait for the 22-year-old surfer, but she soon moved on to date new arrival George Rains.
When that didn't work out, Lucie admitted she had secret feelings for former love interest Tommy - despite him being happily coupled up with Molly-Mae Hague.
Viewers branded her a "snake" for making a move on Tommy, before he gently turned her down.
After returning home from her long, hot summer Lucie and Joe reconnected.
They kept their rekindled romance secret until they were ready to admit they were dating again.
Keen not to rush into anything serious, Lucie and Joe held off on making it official before telling The Sun Online they'd said "I love you" back in September.
"I'll always be grateful to Love Island," Joe told us.
"That show is the reason we met and how I got with this amazing girl.
"We came out and found each other again. Now everyone can see it's not fake, it's something real."

But long-distance proved problematic as they split their time between London and Cornwall while trying to keep their relationship private.
This week Lucie flew to Bali where she has been doing yoga and spending time on the beach, telling fans "where I'm meant to be".
Appearing to reflect on the split, Lucie posted inspirational quotes on Instagram.
She said: Your moves will be misunderstood by those not meant to join you on your journey" before sharing the message: "Don't be surprised how quickly the universe moves once you've decided that you want better for yourself."
