Caroline Flack lands in Cape Town to film Winter Love Island as she gives fans ‘first look’ at new show
CAROLINE Flack has teased key detail of the upcoming Winter Love Island series after touching down in South Africa.
The ITV2 presenter, 40, was quick to post a sun-soaked image of her surroundings after landing in Cape Town.
Speaking directly to the camera on her Instagram Stories, she revealed she was having her hair and make-up done for the opening commercial for the show which will screen in January
She said: “We have just landed in Cape Town for Winter Love Island.
“We are not sure what to expect, we don’t usually film it in the winter do we?
As her stylist tended to her hair and make-up, Caroline added: “We are trying to decide what the hairstyle is going to be for this year’s Love Island.
“I think I might go to a bob – I might bob it up.”
Dropping a huge hint as to the location of the newest Love Island villa, Caroline tagged it as 20 minutes drive from the Lion’s Head mountain, in Cape Town.
She later added they had finished the first Winter Love Island shoot before complaining she “looked like I’d been run over by a roller,” in the yellow dress she was wearing.
She later tagged a snap of the garment in question with the caption: “Day 1 shoot … hair and make-up.”
Caroline, who fronts the summer season of Love Island set in Spain, is enjoying some winter sun this time around.
The series has been confirmed to start on January 8, 2020, – but applications are still open for prospective contestants, despite filming having already begun.
The Sun exclusively revealed that Ellis Iyayi is a favourite to star in the new series.
With over 9,000 followers on Instagram, he’s well on his way to becoming a show fave once Winter Love Island kicks off.
The university student works as a personal trainer and fashion model, having posed for the likes of ASOS, Nike, GymShark and JD Sports.
A well-placed telly source told The Sun: “After the flop of Survival of the Fittest producers want to keep the format simple and mop up the gaping hole Celebrity Big Brother left reality TV hungry audiences.
“Winter Love Island makes sense as fans adore the drama and love triangles and everyone wants to enjoy a bit of sun on screens in the cold winter months.”
