Love Island’s Maura and Curtis are FINALLY official after he asks her to be his girlfriend over romantic dinner
LOVE Island’s Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard have finally made their romance official and become boyfriend and girlfriend.
The couple – who have been together since meeting on Love Island over the summer - cemented their relationship during a recent romantic break.
The former grid girl, 28, told Magazine: "He asked and I said yes obviously.
"He took me away for a weekend break, and he asked me out over dinner in London the next day."
Revealing why he took his time, Curtis, 23, added: "I want something that's going to last forever. There's no point in rushing things. We've only known each other a short amount of time.”
Viewers were surprised when the pair got together on the ITV2 dating show because they seemed to different but Curtis defended their relationship saying: “People say we're opposites. But opposites attract!”
And Maura, who became known for being open about her sexual desires in the villa, admitted that the dancer still gave her “fanny flutters”.
Their loved-up joint interview comes after it was predicted that they will get married in the next six months.
Maura met up with Ireland’s oldest matchmaker - Willie Daly – for a segment about finding love on This Morning.
Willie showed her his lucky old book that he claims helps people in the love department when they touch it.
Maura confessed to him: “My boyfriend hasn’t actually told me he loves me yet so maybe if I place my hands on that lucky book.”
Offering his advice, he said: “If you touch it with both hands and close your eyes for approximately eight seconds then you will be in love and married in six months.”
Having done exactly what he said, she exclaimed: “I’m getting married. The book has spoken - no pressure Curtis!”
