EXTRA Camp host Joe Swash grimaced as his ear was syringed by a specialist after a cockroach got stuck in it during last night's Bushtucker Trial, Catch A Falling Star.
The I'm A Celebrity alum was put through his paces alongside Dean Gaffney as they attempted the terrifying task as part of a segment, Main Camp versus Extra Camp, on the ITV2 jungle spin-off show.
Viewers watched as the former EastEnders stars screamed in terror as they were covered in thousands of insects while suspended in a perspex box 20ft in the air.
However, Joe and Dean hilariously failed to beat current campmates Nick Knowles and Noel Edmonds' five stars - leaving with not a single one for Extra Camp.
After looking back at their attempt, Joe, 36, explained that the jungle critter was lodged in his ear after it 'ran' into it at the beginning of the trial.
And now Joe has captured his ear being syringed by a specialist after they were unable to retrieve the ungainly creature from his orifice.
Joe looked far from comfortable in the clip as he pulled a number of faces during the treatment, which flushes the ear out with water.
Last night, his co-host Joel Dommett revealed live on-air about his ear infestation.
He said: "Haven't you got a cockroach stuck in your ear and have to go to the doctors?"
While co-stars and crew groaned at the thought of the insect, the soap star replied: "As soon as I went in there, it ran straight into my ear hole. I've still got him in there. I've got to go get it out later."
He added: "I can't really hear you properly in this ear."
Later, the presenter took to his social media to document his journey to the hospital.
Speaking on his Instagram Stories, he said: "On my way to the hospital to get a cockroach sucked out of my ear, all the perks of this job eh?
"I still can't quite believe I've an animal in my ear hole, don't make yourself at home son, you're coming out."
However, it wasn't good news for Joe, who revealed that the doctors were unable to remove the critter from his ear and he would have to go see a specialist.

He began: "Just got out of the hospital.
"Doctors said they can't get the cockroach out of my ear, I've got to see to a specialist tomorrow so they can use special equipment on it.
Adding: "Which means this cockroach has another freeboard in my ear, he owes me a lot of rent."
