I’m A Celebrity’s Cliff Parisi gets fish and chips with wife Tara after exit and calls campmates ‘attention seeking’
CLIFF Parisi wasted no time tucking into some fish and chips after his I'm A Celebrity exit last night.
The actor, 59, beamed as he arrived back at the five-star Palazzo Versace hotel holding the takeaway meal.
Walking inside the hotel with wife Tara Wyer, he was cheered by the families of the other campmates.
Cliff shocked Ant and Dec in his exit interview as he revealed he he smuggled contraband into camp.
The Call the Midwife star was up against Caitlyn Jenner in the end but Ant and Dec revealed he had received the lowest votes.
His departure follows in the jungle footsteps of Adele Roberts and Andrew Maxwell, who were first and second to leave respectively.
DJ Adele was voted out on Friday, while comedian Andrew left the camp at the end of Sunday night's show.
Speaking to Ant and Dec after leaving the jungle, Cliff said some of his co-stars were "desperate for the limelight".
Discussing his time on the show, he said: "Unless you've done it you've got no idea, it's really worth doing, loved it, met some fantastic people.
"I'd advise anyone who gets offered to do this show, do it, it's incredible, but the first week was hard."
Cliff added: "There were a lot of big characters in there, I went into myself, I felt a bit isolated."
But after a few days he had a word with himself, explaining to Ant and Dec: "Why don't you just sit back and watch and enjoy it? And in time the opportunities arose to become more involved."
Cliff then shocked the hosts when he admitted to sneaking contraband into camp.
He said: "I did sneak some stuff in in my pants, some salt and pepper. Yeah I did."
Ant said: "We never saw that, very sneaky."
Viewers were also taken aback by the revelation, with one writing on Twitter: "Cliff smuggled salt & pepper into the jungle? Did producers know but decided not air it, or did he get away with it completely?"
Another tweeted: "@imacelebrity have you changed the staff keeping an eye on camp since Gillian's contraband smuggling? The only reason I can think of for you not noticing Cliff's salt and pepper given the vast number of cameras in and around camp."

And ever the honest man, when Ant asked what had prompted him to take part in the show, Cliff replied: "Tax man."
Asked if he had learned anything, the former EastEnders actor replied: "I'm from London and I'm scared of dogs, I'm allergic to cats, so everything was a major for me in here.
"But you do it because the adrenaline is there and you have to get the stars."
