Caitlyn Jenner set to star on I’m A Celebrity 2019 after ITV bosses agree £500,000 fee
CAITLYN Jenner is this year’s jungle VIP signing for I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here!
The star, 70 will fly to Australia next week to take part in the ITV series — having commanded one of the biggest fees in its 19-year history.
The Sun understands that bosses have shelled out more for Caitlyn, the world’s most famous transgender woman, than anyone else this year — topping £500,000.
Caitlyn was married to Kim Kardashian’s mum Kris — and producers hope she will reveal secrets of the clan.
An ITV source said yesterday: “She’s such a huge name and a great get for producers.
“ITV think she is one of their best ever signings. It’s a real bolt from the blue. They’ve asked her every year for a long time, but she finally felt the time was right.”
Caitlyn was once referred to as the “world’s greatest athlete” after winning gold in the decathlon at the Olympics in 1976.
The star has six children with three successive wives — Chrystie Crownover, Linda Thompson and Kris Jenner.
Since 2007, she has appeared on the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians with Kris, their daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and Kris’ other children Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob Kardashian.
Caitlyn came out as a trans woman in April 2015, and publicly announced her new name in July of that year.
The American is now dating model Sophia Hutchins, 23.
Other celebrities set for the jungle include former Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle, EastEnder Jacqueline Jossa, football’s Ian Wright and rugby’s James Haskell.
ITV said: “Any names are speculation until we officially announce our line up.”
