It was announced in September 2006 that Robert of Tony Stark/Iron Man in an official press release.
The movie, titled simply Iron Man, hit UK cinemas on 2 May 2008 and became an instant phenomenon among fans of the Marvel Universe, who instantly gravitated towards the ways in which the actor embodies the role.
Since 2008, there have been a total of three Iron Man films, with the last one being Iron Man 3.
Aside from his own movies, Tony Stark has also made appearances in other Marvel films including the Avengers franchise, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Captain America: Civil War, to name a few.

Robert is married to Susan Downey, who is a well-established film producer in Hollywood.
Susan has produced several of her husband’s movies including Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Iron Man 2 and the Halle Berry-led thriller Gothika.
The couple married in a Jewish ceremony at Amagansett in 2005.
Susan went on to have a son named Exton Elias Downey on February 7, 2012, before welcoming a daughter named Avri Roel Downey on November 4, 2017.
Downey Jr. was previously married to Deborah Falconer from 1992 until 2004.
The pair share one child together named Indio Falconer Downey.
