Matthew Perry’s ex-fiancee Molly Hurwitz looks somber on walk with friend near LA home in first sighting since his death
MATTHEW Perry's ex-fiancee Molly Hurwitz has been pictured for the first time since Perry was found dead in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on Saturday.
Hurwitz,32 looked downcast as she walked her dog through a Los Angeles park near her home and spoke somberly with a group of friends.
The agent and talent manager wore black leggings and a black and white plaid flannel shirt knotted at her waist over a white tee.
She hid her eyes behind dark sunglasses and a black hat as news of Perry's death continued to sink in for the Friend star's family and colleagues.
At one point the agent was seen crying.
Perry and Hurwitz began dating in 2018 and got engaged in November 2020 before calling off the relationship in June 2021.
At the time, Perry said: "Sometimes things just don't work out and this is one of them. I wish Molly the best."
Hurwitz is a talent manager and producer at Zero Gravity Management based in Los Angeles and New York.
She has yet to publicly comment on Perry's death.
Why did Matthew Perry and Molly Hurwitz split up?
The pair met through friends, as they mix with the same people.
The Sun exclusively revealed their relationship in December 2019, as the pair enjoyed a romantic Christmas together.
On November 26, 2020 Matthew told magazine that “I decided to get engaged."
"Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time.”
But sadly it wasn't meant to be and on June 1, 2021 Matthew confirmed the news to , sharing in a statement: "Sometimes things just don't work out and this is one of them. I wish Molly the best."
In May 2021, it was reported that Hurwitz put their wedding on hold after he "flirted with other women" while they were on a break.
Weeks prior to their split, fans expressed their concern for Matthew when he appeared to slur his words and nodded off while filming the reunion special.
He sat down with the beloved cast of Friends for a "three question" interview with on Wednesday, which had the group reminisce about their years as friends and co-stars.
However, fans noticed that the Canadian actor was not responding to questions with his normal sharp wit and appeared quiet and distracted.
The Death of Mathew Perry
Perry was found dead in his jacuzzi on Saturday, where he is believed to have drowned.
Sources from law enforcement originally disclosed that they were called to the residents for a cardiac arrest.
Police initially said that no drugs were found at the scene and no foul play was suspected.
The outlet revealed that prior to the tragedy, Perry came home after a two-hour game of pickleball, and sent his assistant out on an errand shortly after.
Pickleball is a racket game played on a court a quarter of the size of a tennis court, with a lower net.
The game has rocketed in popularity after a number of Hollywood celebrities started promoting it during lockdown.
The assistant is said to have returned about two hours later, where he discovered Perry unresponsive and reached out to emergency services.
The U.S. Sun witnessed Perry's father looking distraught as he arrived in his car and spoke to officers before slowly walking back to his vehicle and being allowed under the cordon.
The U.S. Sun also learned investigators turned up at Perry's Los Angeles mansion around 7pm local time and were waiting for the coroner.
The 911 call was said to have been made around 4pm, and investigators spent hours at the house as Matthew’s family were seen looking distraught as they arrived at the scene.

They left some hours later and the medical examiner arrived at about 10.35pm and was still at the property with the body in the residence at gone midnight.
