ARIANA Grande's boyfriend Ethan Slater has hired a high-powered New York City attorney to divorce his wife Lilly Jay, The U.S. Sun can exclusively report.
Ethan, 31, filed for divorce from Lilly, 31, in New York on Wednesday after five years of marriage.
Now, The U.S. Sun can reveal he has hired "top rated" family law attorney Lisa M. Gardner of Donohoe Talbert LLP.
Meanwhile, it appears Lilly Jay has yet to enlist an attorney.
Lisa, according to her bio, has been selected as a Rising Star by New York Metro Super Lawyers ever since 2014- only five years after being admitted to practice law in 2009.
This peer designation is awarded only to a select number of in each state.
The selection process takes into consideration "peer recognition, professional achievement in legal practice, and other cogent factors."
She was also named 2015's Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business by Long Island Business News and later was the recipient of the "Millennial Award."
Lisa then was part of Hofstra University's 2016 Outstanding Women in Law for "making a difference for children and families on Long Island," according to her LinkedIn.
The NYC-based lawyer graduated from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University with a concentration in Child and Family Advocacy.

'NOT A GIRL'S GIRL'
After it was revealed Ariana had split from her husband Dalton Gomez, news broke last week that she was dating her Wicked co-star Ethan.
Dalton and Ariana got married in May 2021 and split after reportedly not making their marriage work post-Covid.
The 30-year-old singer, for her part, has yet to official file paperwork to divorce Dalton, despite heading in that direction.
While the 27-year-old real estate broker has yet to address the split, Ethan's ex Lilly spoke to about how she's focused on raising her and the SpongeBob SquarePants star's baby - born in 2022 - and being a "good mom."
"[Ariana’s] the story really. Not a girl’s girl," Lilly told the outlet.
"My family is just collateral damage... The story is her and Dalton."
An insider revealed Ethan and Lilly had been separated for two months before romancing Ariana.
BEHIND CLOSED DOORS
Despite the New York divorce filing being sealed from the public, it appears that the estranged couple could battle over custody.
is reporting that Ethan wants to "desperately" co-parent their nearly one-year-old child.
Sources told the outlet that the actor "has been talking to Lilly daily, mostly about their little boy" and "spent a lot of time with his son in London after he had split with Lilly."
He's now "determined to have a major presence in the boy's life."
also reported that Lilly is "devastated" that her family has been torn apart and that she and her estranged husband "aren't on good terms" now that he has moved on to the Thank You, Next singer.
According to sources, the Maryland native feels "betrayed and heartbroken."
"It's understandable that emotions are high and it's hard seeing your ex move on, especially in such a public way, and her friends are trying to protect her.

"But Ari and Ethan are just trying to lay low and be respectful of their exes as they pursue this new relationship," sources told the outlet.
Ariana has yet to comment publicly on her relationship with Ethan.
