In the scene, Kourtney, 44, and her husband, Travis Barker, 47, attended the grand opening of Travis' new vegan eatery in Los Angeles, Crossroads Kitchen.

They took some of their kids along, including Reign and Penelope, 10 - Kourtney's younger children with her ex, Scott Disick, 40.

Travis' daughter, Alabama, 17, and stepdaughter, Atiana, 24, from his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, 47, also joined the group.

At one point, Kourtney turned to her youngest, Reign, and asked him about his supposed antics in his classroom.

"I heard you've been eating crayons and paper at school. Is that true?" the Poosh founder asked her son, who looked shocked by his mother's claim.

"I didn't eat crayons at school," he quickly denied, although Kourtney wasn't convinced.

"So what's your teacher talking about?" the mom of three replied.

"She's a liar," Reign said, brushing off his mother's questions.

Travis and Atiana were seen laughing at the little one's response, and Kourtney ended the conversation.

PARENTING BACKLASH

However, fans didn't find the exchange funny and expressed their thoughts on a popular Keeping Up With the Kardashians message board.

One person started the discussion by writing the caption: "What’s up with Kourtney’s reaction to Reign eating crayons and paper?"

The user continued to explain how they thought Kourtney's reaction was "odd" and that she should have addressed the situation better.

"Did anyone else find this conversation odd? I get that kids do strange stuff sometimes and it’s not super deep, but the fact that his teacher felt the need to tell Kourtney about it makes me think this wasn’t a one time thing, and she wanted Kourtney to address the situation.

"And Reign calling his teacher a liar and Kourtney completely dropping it didn’t sit well with me. Maybe they talked about it more off camera, but the whole situation rubbed me the wrong way."

They also pointed out that Reign's "acting out" could be a cry for attention.

Many fans agreed that Kourtney's handling of the issue wasn't the best, with some saying she completely "dismissed" her son's concerning behavior.

"Kourtney thinks she's doing gentle parenting when really, what she's doing is dismissive parenting," someone else commented.

"I am hoping (probably wrongly) that she talked to him more seriously off camera," another wrote.

"She acts like her kids are her friends, and seems terrified to correct and parent them when needed," a third remarked.

Meanwhile, others defended the model and theorized that parts of the conversation could've been left out.

"The scene has an abrupt cut so it’s obvious we don’t see the natural end of the convo. who knows what she said or how she handled it. but both Penelope and Mason seem like well adjusted and polite kids so I think Kourtney is doing just fine with her parenting," one fan said.

"Hopefully she dealt with it off camera! Kourtney has always been a... different.... parent. Hopefully she did the right thing for her kids," a final noted.

Kourtney is also a mother to a 13-year-old son, Mason, with Scott, and Travis shares a 19-year-old son, Landon, with Shanna, although neither was at the event.

GROWING FAMILY

The blended family will soon add another one to their brood, as Kourtney recently announced her pregnancy.

The TV star shared the news by holding a sign that read, "Travis I'm Pregnant," from the crowd of a Blink-182 concert.

Travis is the drummer of the rock band, and the gesture was a nod to their music video, All The Small Things, where an attractive groupie held a similar sign while rocking out to the music.
