Kendall Jenner claps back after being slammed for ‘mean girl’ behavior toward A-list model
KENDALL Jenner has clapped back after being slammed for her "mean girl" behavior toward another A-list model.
The incident occurred earlier this week while the Hulu star was in attendance at the 2023 Met Gala in New York City.
A video captured Kendall, 27, clapping and cheering with Gigi Hadid, 28, before turning around and making an annoyed facial expression once it was out of view of the model.
A fan commented: "Kendall’s face when she turns away from Gigi says it all. Ugh," on the video.
While a second writer questioned: "Why did she change her face like that?"
Another commenter defended Kendall, writing: "I really don't know why people are so quick to judge and came [sic] up with conclusions right away, you don't know these people!!!"
The writer continued: "The mean girl image you're all trying so hard to portray Kendall as is so forced, many people who aren't even a fan of her have had enough of y'all accusations and they are even defending Kendall now.
"You all are just straight up haters."
The commenter's post grabbed the attention of Kardashian fans and was reposted to a Reddit board dedicated to the famous family after it was "liked" by Kendall.
In the comment thread, one person wrote: "I’ve seen many stories saying she is not nice. A mean girl is a mean girl. If you don’t want to be called one then don’t be one."
Another fan commented: "I think the most intriguing part is she really cares about being called that. Which honestly if you know yourself and what you are about, then why does she seem so bothered."
While a third person stated: "You can see she’s a mean girl from the reality show too lol and that can be edited. But it’s very obvious she has a superiority complex over her entire family."
MEAN GIRL ENERGY
Last month, Kendall posted a new TikTok that shows her and her friends embodying the "mean girl" spirit.
Kendall appeared to be out to dinner with five of her friends, including Hailey Bieber when she made the TikTok video.
The Kardashian daughter's hair looks very red in the video, and she's wearing a sliver sparkly strapless dress.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum and her friends each took turns lip-syncing to a particularly catty TikTok sound.
The sound said: "Are you tired of stalking me? Tired of constantly watching my page from a fake account?
"Talking about me to all of your friends? And simply just being a f**king weirdo?
"Then you need to call a psychiatric ward. Cause b***h, you're obsessed."
The model captioned the video with a passive-aggressive smiley face.
Critics of the reality TV star on Reddit called her out for her extreme attitude and, what one commenter called "mean girl energy."
Someone else wrote: "She always has the most confidence when she’s bullying people and being a mean girl. Why isn’t she this confident when she's modeling instead of always looking like a shaky chihuahua?"
"She’s a typical bully. Only ever feels/exudes confidence when she’s making others feel like s**t," commented another.
One critic said, "I actually hated this when it was posted because without all those obsessed people she’d be nothing. It felt like she was so ungrateful."
"The 'laugh at you as you walk by their lunch table in high school' energy is off the charts," wrote a final critic.

Kendall was slammed for making a "mean" comment about her sister Kylie's looks in a resurfaced KUWTK clip.
The scene continues with the girls in a room with friends as Kendall comments on her baby sister's darker-looking skin tone.
"You look really dark, it's my favorite tan," she began to tell a red-headed Kylie.
"The bronzer is really thick but you have really big body pores," Kendall continued as Kylie looked shocked by her remark.
"Does that make sense?" Kendall asked while Kylie started to question the meaning behind her sister's words.
The reality star then reverted her attention to her phone as her sister continued to talk about her appearance.
"Your back pores, I love getting in there on your spray tans," Kendall said as Kylie ignored her statement.
The room grew silent as Kendall told the noticeably annoyed makeup mogul: "Don't be sensitive."
Kendall then turned the attention towards Kylie's red-headed locks saying: "I loved your hair yesterday. I love when your normal Kylie hair but then you put like bangs or something. I love the bangs."
The 24-year-old responded with silence, rolling her eyes at her sister's strange compliment.
