JARED Leto and Doja Cat took a unique approach to this year's Met Gala - but fans were distracted by some of the extreme reactions in the background.
This year's gala was in honor of the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, and while many decided to wear his pieces or pay homage to his style, Doja Cat and Jared Leto decided to dress up as his cat, Choupette.
But viewers took to Twitter as they noticed some bizarre - and hilarious - reactions from certain members of the crowd.
Posting a clip of a dog looking scared, one user tweeted: "The best part of the Met Gala was this dogs reaction", while another joked: "The dog’s reaction is basically how I feel about the Met Gala generally".
Meanwhile, Jeremy Pope took a more traditional approach wearing a long train that had Karl Lagerfeld's face etched on it, with one stunned fan tweeting: "One thing about Jeremy Pope, he will absolutely serve!"

A fan posed the question, "Where Are Khloe & Kourtney? They slayed at the Met last year so I’m sure they were invited?"
To which someone said, "At home thank gawd."
Another user responded, "Home cause Khloe doesn’t care about the red carpet like that and Kourtney had her one chance and failed."

Kris Jenner, 67, Kourtney Kardashian, 44, and Khloe Kardashian, 38, were all absent from this year's Met Gala.
The three Kardashian women were stuck at home while Kim Kardashian, 42, Kendall Jenner, 27, and Kylie Jenner, 25, strutted their stuff on the red carpet.
Even Kim and Kylie's kids - North West, 9, and Stormi Webster, 5 - were seen prior to the event.

Karl Lagerfeld's controversial comments, concluded
Karl Lagerfeld made headlines for his comments on gay marriage.
"For me, it's difficult to imagine one of the papas at work and the other at home with the baby," he told in 2010.
"How would that be for the baby? I don't know. I see more lesbians married with babies than I see boys married with babies.
"And I also believe more in the relationship between mother and child than that between father and child."
He later announced his support of gay marriage but said he was "less keen" on gay couples being allowed to adopt.
Karl Lagerfeld's controversial comments, continued
In addition to his contribution to fashion, many remember Karl Lagerfeld for his controversial comments.
Lagerfeld didn't support the Me Too movement and said in an interview with Numero magazine that he was shocked by "starlets who have taken 20 years to remember what happened."
"Not to mention the fact there are no prosecution witnesses," he added.
On the topic of designers pulling models' underwear, he said: "It's unbelievable. If you don't want your pants pulled about, don't become a model,
"Join a nunnery, there'll always be a place for you in the convent. They're recruiting even."
Karl Lagerfeld's controversial comments
As the Met Gala honored the life and work of legendary designer, Karl Lagerfeld, the resurfaced attention has brought to light some of his controversial comments.
In 2012, as many fashion brands took a progressive step toward inclusivity, Lagerfeld remained steadfast in his choice to have thin models sport his designs.
“There are less than one percent of anorexic girls. But there are zero in France, I don’t know in England - over 30 percent of girls [are] big, big, overweight," he told Channel 4.
"And that is much more dangerous and very bad for the health. So I think today, with the junk food in front of TV, it’s something dangerous for the health of the girl. The models are skinny, but they’re not that skinny."
"All the new girls are not that skinny,” Lagerfeld said.

Someone else compared her to a wedding cake, "Tonight, A$AP Rocky took what appeared to be a giant wedding cake to the Met Gala… It was later discovered it was Rihanna inside it."
A fourth wrote, "I love that the Met Gala theme changes every year but Rihanna’s theme of 'duvet cover' stays the same."
