Kris Jenner is bringing Scott Disick back to Kardashians Hulu show to bring ‘drama and trouble’ to lackluster series
KRIS Jenner is planning to bring Scott Disick back to the family's Hulu series to turn up the drama, The U.S. Sun has learned.
The famous family is planning to release the third season of The Kardashians on the streaming platform later this year- and outspoken Scott will be front and center, a source confirmed.
And with the hefty paycheck comes a lot of work.
The source claimed that the 67-year-old's intention is for Scott to "liven up the show" and attract more viewers.
"She needs to liven up the show again. It was drama free, and the girls are all now so image conscious; they take everything so seriously.
"Kris misses the old days of drama and trouble - and when Scott's around, there's always something going down.
"He gets how to put on a show and doesn't care about protecting his brand or image," the source explained.
Scott previously dated eldest sibling Kourtney on and off for nearly a decade before they officially called it quits in 2015.
The former couple are co-parents to their three children: Mason, 13; Penelope, 10; and Reign, seven.
Despite remaining in each other's lives, Scott has taken a step back since Kourtney, 43, began dating her now-husband, Travis Barker, 47, in February 2021.
Kourtney and the Blink-182 rocker tied the knot in May 2022 in a lavish ceremony in Portofino, Italy.
Cameras were rolling when Travis popped the question on a beach in Montecito, California, months earlier, and Scott's less-than-enthusiastic reaction was a significant storyline in the show's first season.
"Scott was always such a central character, even after his split from Kourt, but he bowed out of the last season as it just all felt wrong to him.
A source close to Talentless founder revealed: "Scott filmed for the show last week after inking a massive contract to be in the upcoming season."
The insider also told the outlet that the 39-year-old was "initially against coming back" because he didn't want to portray "the villain in Kourtney and Travis' storyline."
Fans witnessed the sometimes tumultuous relationship between Scott and Kourtney on their former E! show, and it's because of those fans that the TV personality has decided to return.
"He felt that he owed it to his fans and knew that they wanted to see him back on the show again, at least for one more season," the source divulged.
SCOTT'S FUTURE
Last year, Scott's future on the Hulu show seemed bleak, despite fans' demands for him to return full-time to season three.
The father of three made his first appearance on season two of the show in the fourth episode, and it was to provide house-flipping advice to Kendall Jenner.
Siblings Kourtney, Kim, 42, Khloe, 38, Kylie, 25, and Kendall, 26, have been the show's primary focus, especially since their brother, Rob Kardashian, 36, has shied from the spotlight.
'BORED' FANS
As Kris sees it, Scott's comeback could be a major increase in the show's viewership, as many fans haven't been pleased with the show's direction.
“Kardashians is such a chore to watch lately,” one former fan remarked. “It’s just constant ads and product placement."
Another added: “There’s no fun anymore. There’s no wholesomeness or genuine sibling conversations. It feels all rehearsed."

And a third summarized: “There’s no reference to what is really going on in their lives - it’s just ads.”
On Rotten Tomatoes, The Kardashians received a flat score of 24 percent approval from fans since its debut in April 2022.
