Who is Elizabeth Banks?

Elizabeth Banks is an actress, producer, and game show host born on February 10, 1974, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Over the years, she has been seen in popular films like Spider-Man, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Magic Mike XXL, Pitch Perfect, Cocaine Bear, and Charlie's Angels.

She has also starred in several TV shows, including Modern Family, 30 Rock, and Scrubs.

The star was also the first celebrity brand ambassador for beauty company No7.

Before fame, Banks studied at the University of Pennsylvania and the American Conservatory Theater.

Is Elizabeth Banks married?

Since 2003, Banks has been married to Max Handelman, who is a sportswriter, producer, and blogger.

The pair first met on campus at the University of Pennsylvania.

The couple share two sons, Felix and Magnus, both born via surrogacy.

In an interview with , she revealed that the key to parenting is "letting go of control" and trusting her husband's faith in her.

“For me, what I've come to is letting go of guilt," Banks said. "It's societal. But you let go of it. And I trust my husband. My husband, just being like, ‘You got it.'"

Banks and Handelman are also the founders of Brownstone Productions, a film and television production company that has produced all three Pitch Perfect films and Charlie's Angels, among others.

Press Your Luck is a popular game show that first premiered in 1983.

The show ran until 1986 but made a comeback in 2019 and has been on the air ever since.

The show can be watched live on ABC on Thursdays at 8 pm EST.

It can also be streamed on Hulu.

Before the release of season four in July 2022, Banks sat down with , where she revealed that she cried in the shower after her first day as host.

"I remember my very first show I went home afterward," Banks recalled, "I was in the shower. My husband came in and said, 'How's the show?' And I said, 'Honey ...' And I really started crying in the shower after my first show, because I couldn't believe I was on stage."

She added that, at one point during the series, she wiped the tears out of a contestant's eyes.

"They were so emotional," she said. "And I was so emotional. I just thought, 'This is such an amazing time. I get to change people's lives on this show.'"
