Born on February 17, 1991, Jeremy Allen White is an actor from Brooklyn.
For several years until middle school, Jeremy had a strong interest in dancing.
It was in his teens that he really started to and landed the role of Lip Gallagher on Shameless immediately after high school.
Shameless ran on Showtime from 2011 to 2021.
"There was a period where I stopped feeling like an actor and I started feeling like I was just here to do this show," he told the outlet.
"It was an upsetting head space to be in. When it was going to end, I was questioning; 'Maybe I do just exist on this show. What else is there? Am I an actor?'
"I was definitely having a lot of doubt when I was finishing Shameless."
White was relieved when the show ultimately came to an end, giving him room to reinvent himself.
"I love Shameless so much. I love everybody that was a part of it, and the experience was incredible," he explained.
"But I'm not sure if shows are meant to go that long."
Aside from the Showtime drama series, White is also known for his part in the 2018 thriller series, Homecoming, and several films including:

- After Everything
- The Rental
In 2022, he starred in the Hulu culinary dramedy The Bear, which was released in June.
According to the program's synopsis, White plays "Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto, a young chef from the world of fine dining who comes home to Chicago to run his family’s sandwich shop."

On October 18, 2019, Jeremy tied the knot with his Afterschool co-star Addison Timlin.
Similar to Jeremy, Addison is also an actor; she's had roles in Californication, Law & Order, and American Horror Stories.
On May 11, 2023, Addison filed for divorce from Jeremy after more than three years of marriage.
The pair share two children together; daughters Ezer and Dolores.
