KIM Kardashian has arrived at the 2022 Met Gala, but her $5M dress wasn't met with total praise.

Many fans slammed her as a 'Marilyn Monroe copycat' as she debuted her new BLONDE hair alongside Pete Davidson.

Last weekend, Kim and her boyfriend Pete Davidson were spotted leaving the tourist hotspot Ripley's Believe It or Not! in Florida, where they spent three hours.

The famed attraction is home to the iconic dress that Marilyn Monroe wore when she famously sang "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" to John F. Kennedy for his 45th birthday celebration at Madison Square Garden in 1962 - the "world's most expensive dress."

Now, it appears Kim was indeed scoping out the iconic look for herself - even bleaching her hair blonde to match for the 2022 Met Gala.

Boyfriend Pete, 28, grew his hair out in a beard to escort Kim, though compared to her long train of incredibly bold Met Gala moments - some fans weren't on board.

"Imagine comparing Kim Kardashian to THE Marilyn Monroe? Oh my god......" one Twitter user wrote.

"We’ve gone from Beyonce being the last to arrive… to Kim Kardashian," blasted another.

"I wanted bigger fluffy hair, not that stupid slick back bun," lamented a third.

Meanwhile, one fan wrote on Instagram, "She didn’t feel confident and sexy in this look and it shows."

Another noted on the same platform that it didn't exactly match the "Gilded glamour" theme - technically the Gilded Age was from 1870-1900.

"This is a half a century past the theme," another Instagrammer wrote.

"Nothing about this is on theme. Anything for attention," blasted a third - as others on the app said she "doesn't hold a candle to Marylin."

Meanwhile, Kim spoke about her classic couture on the red carpet.

"This is Marilyn Monroe's dress," Kim said during a live stream as Pete quietly paced behind her.

The now BLONDE megastar continued, "I had this idea to put it on and try it on and they came with armed guards and it didn't fit me, so I said give me three weeks - I had to lose 16 pounds... it was such a challenge, like a role."

"I was determined to fit it."

Kim then added in a chat that will likely make headlines for weeks to come: "I'm going to stay blonde for a while" as Pete joked, "She didn't let me wear my propellor hat, but it's fine."

KIM'S GLOWING MET GALA PAST

Kim more unanimously turned heads in a Met Gala outfit last year as she wore an S&M-inspired Balenciaga ensemble that included a mask over their entire head.

She also pulled out all the stops for her 2019 Met Gala look by wearing a sexy number designed by late fashion mogul Thierry Mugler.

Matching the theme, "Camp: Notes on Fashion," Kim opted for a skin-tight dress designed to appear as if she had just stepped out of the ocean.

Mugler hadn't designed a collection of his own since 2003, but he stepped out of retirement to create the gown for the reality star.

"He envisioned me as this California girl stepping out of the ocean, wet, dripping,” Kim said when interviewed by Vogue on the Met red carpet about her 'Wet dress'.

FAMILY AFFAIR

Kim wasn't the only Kardashian in attendance tonight.

Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian were invited to the Met Gala for the first time.

Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Kris Jenner were also in attendance.

Khloe stunned in a gold beaded gown, though some fans slammed her look as boring.

"This is why Kourtney and Khloe ain’t ever been invited before," one fan blasted on Twitter.

"Is that Khloe next to her??? that’s her met gala debut??? She ain’t never going to be invited again," wrote another as she arrived with Kylie, 24.

Kourtney attended the fashion event with fiancé Travis Barker on her arm - The duo donned matching skirts, smiling, kissing and holding hands as they strutted down the red carpet.

Kylie hit the carpet in an Off-White wedding gown, accessorizing with a white baseball cap and a veil on top of it.

"Kylie is giving very much wedding," one fan wrote as the images of her dress flowed across Twitter.

"She looks like she’s about to get married…"; wrote another.

Kris, meanwhile, channeled another icon from the same era as Kim - Jackie Kennedy - with her look, sporting a short hairstyle with fringe in a yellow Oscar de la Renta gown.

The Kardashian momager was the first of her family to arrive on the red carpet - but certainly not the last.

She smiled as she waited on her children - and finally, sister Kendall Jenner kept things simple in a black sheer dress that perhaps went over best of all.
