All the clues Kim Kardashian will wear Marilyn Monroe’s $5 MILLION gold dress to the Met Gala with Pete Davidson
AS Kim Kardashian prepares for the Met Gala, her fans have been speculating that she will wear Marilyn Monroe's iconic gold dress.
From visiting the museum where the $5million dress is held to admitting she can't alter the garment, her followers think they've spotted several clues that point to that specific outfit.
Kim, 41, set speculation alight earlier this week when she headed to Orlando, Florida, with her boyfriend Pete Davidson.
They were spotted leaving the Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum, where Marilyn's $5million gold dress is currently on display.
The screen siren wore the dress when she famously sang "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" to John F. Kennedy for his 45th birthday celebration at Madison Square Garden in 1962.
Fans on Reddit made the connection as one person commented: "I feel she is going to be wearing a high profile celebrity dress (E.g Marilyn Monroe's) which is in a museum she visited yesterday with Pete and as she spoke about how the dress 'cannot be tailored.'"

Another fan agreed, pointing out the late actress' ensemble would match this year's theme of "In America: An Anthology of Fashion".
"I think Marilyn's dress does fit this theme but if she ends up wearing it, it'll be possibly her biggest scandal of all time," they wrote.
Additionally, Kim admitted earlier this month that her Met Gala dress can't be tailored - which would apply to a museum piece.
"It really depends if I fit into my dress, so I hope I'm going," she told Access Hollywood at her Hulu show The Kardashians' premiere.

"I think it will be up to the last minute because it can't be tailored, so I have to fit into it like, exactly."
French fashion designer Jean Louis custom-made the dress for Marilyn.
The item - inspired by a sketch by American fashion designer Bob Mackie - boasts $2,500 crystals and is skintight.
Marilyn couldn't wear anything under it and had to be sewn into the garment just moments before her performance.
KIM'S MARILYN MOMENTS
Another reason Kim could wear the dress is that she has long idolized Marilyn and has dressed up as the Old Hollywood icon several times.
The mother-of-four rocked a peroxide blond wig and Marilyn-inspired makeup for the Vogue Brazil cover in 2015.
Two years later, she dressed up as Marilyn for Halloween, wearing a sequinned silver dress, fur stole, and gloves.
Even Kim's ex-husband Kanye West compared the reality star to the Some Like It Hot actress.
EVEN YE AGREES
Back in 2013, the rapper said: “I have a love-hate relationship with the paparazzi, but actually I love them because they are empowering us.
"They are empowering us over Vanity Fair that want to say that Kate Upton is Marilyn Monroe. Kate Upton ain’t Marilyn Monroe, Kim is Marilyn Monroe.
"You know that. She was controversial. She [is] controversial.”
Kim turned heads in her Met Gala outfit last year as she wore an S&M-inspired Balenciaga ensemble that included a mask over their entire head.
SHOWSTOPPING LOOKS
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum completed the look with high boots and long gloves.
The prestigious fundraiser was given the theme "America: A Lexicon Of Fashion" at the Big Apple's Metropolitan Museum of Art.
She also pulled out all the stops for her 2019 Met Gala look by wearing a sexy number designed by late fashion mogul Thierry Mugler.
Matching the theme, "Camp: Notes on Fashion," Kim opted for a skin-tight dress designed to appear as if she had just stepped out of the ocean.

Mugler hadn't designed a collection of his own since 2003, but he stepped out of retirement to create the gown for the reality star.
"He envisioned me as this California girl stepping out of the ocean, wet, dripping,” Kim said when interviewed by Vogue on the Met red carpet.
