The star continued touring and had a vibrant social media presence, though his latter days sparked concern for his thinning look according to some fans.

Despite his ever-upbeat demeanor - and comedy podcast that he recorded well into 2022 called - he appeared to changing in appearance off-mic.

"It’s Valentine's Day again so why don't you send a personalized shoutout from me, Gilbert Gottfried,” he declared to in a front-facing video wearing a plaid shirt and looking at the camera on February 1st.

Though one fan commented: "My favorite comedian!" another wrote, "Startled me."

'CONCERNING'

Fans were also worried by a February 15th advertising his active Cameo page.

The photo saw him wearing a blue shirt and many were confused by the sanitized-looking location.

"This is mildly concerning," one wrote.

"Are you wearing a hospital gown?" asked a second.

"See you in Toronto? Stay alive for my sake ok," a third joked - though in a style the envelope-pushing comic might have smiled at.

Under a March 12th Instagram of Gilbert with a peer, one user : "You're looking a little thin buddy. You ok?"

'SO FRAIL'

And seemingly live-tweeting a scenario in which a fan claimed to have been in a "bar" a Twitter wrote in a thread: "Gilbert do be frail though."

"Poor Gilbert man he's so frail," the fan continued on February 10th.

"He doesn't look like the Gilbert they knew."

A fun-loving March 12th Instagram post saw Gilbert pose with a long-time friend and podcast regular, "Svengoolie."

"Happy birthday @Svengoolie you don’t look a day over 1,000," the dad of two captioned it.

Though one fan bashed: "They both look a 1,000.";
