DISNEY CHANNEL ROYALTY
If you're a millennial, you probably remember Christy being all over your TV as a child.
Before skyrocketing to fame on the network, she made her Broadway debut in 1998 as Mary Phagan in the musical, Parade.
Then, at the turn of the century, Christy became the first person to act in three Disney Channel projects simultaneously.
The podcast host first gained the role of Ren Stevens on Even Stevens in 2000.
Even Stevens was a show focusing on the life of the Stevens family in California, focusing on the clashing personalities of the two children, Ren and Louis (Shia LaBeouf).
She played the role of Ren for all three seasons and The Even Stevens Movie.
The show was nominated for seven Emmys, taking home one win.
In 2002, Christy took on two more projects, alongside Even Stevens.
Her first Disney Channel movie was Cadet Kelly with Hilary Duff.
She played Cadet Captain Jennifer Oriana "Jenny" Stone, who is a serious military captain at a military school, and eventually breaks down her tough interior.
That same year Christy scored the role of voicing Kim Possible on the show.
Kim Possible ran for four seasons and followed the accomplished high school student who fought crime on a regular basis.
She also voiced the character in the movie, Kim Possible: So the Drama and played Poppy Blu in the 2019 live-action film.
Christy went on to star in many other roles on screen and on stage including Big Hero 6: The Series, Campus Confidential, The Cutting Edge: Going for the Gold, and more.
She also turned to a career in singing, sharing several songs on MySpace, Disney Channel compilation albums, and movie soundtracks.
HOLLYWOOD TAKES A TOLL
In 2019, Christy penned an essay for and opened up about the struggles she face in her late teens and early 20s.
After Even Stevens ended, she struggled with depression, self-harm, and alcohol abuse.
In the essay, the actress recounted that while Shia LaBeouf struggled publicly, she had suffered in silence.
Even Stevens ended the summer before she went to college and she was thrust into the "real world."
When she realized she couldn't handle it, she ran away from school and went back to theater acting.
Christy began to hate herself and tried to use methods of self-destruction.
"I tried to scratch my skin with my fingernail because I was too scared to use a knife. I chickened out and honestly felt like I had failed some important race to win the trophy for 'most tragic, beautiful girl,'" she wrote.
The mother-of-two then began to abuse alcohol and struggled with relationships and her career path for nearly a decade before returning to school.
There she met the man that would become her future husband and re-centered her life.
The Kim Possible actress went on to say that she hasn't touched a drop of alcohol since before her first pregnancy and doesn't plan on having any ever again.
MOTHER OF TWO
Perhaps the most important role that Christy has taken on is being a mother.
She met writer/producer Brendan Roomey in 2011 while studying at Barnard College.
They started dating and became engaged in November of that year.
Christy and Brendan married two years later on December 31, 2013.
The couple welcomed their first child, Isabella Victoria, in 2016, and gave birth to another girl, Sophia Elizabeth in 2019.
She opened up about being a mom to in 2017.
"Your whole perspective completely shifts… For nine months you're pregnant, so you kind of think to yourself, 'I'm a pregnant person.' Like, that's how you identify. But then you have the baby," Romano shared.
"Then you're a mom! And moms, you realize very quickly, they don't get enough respect."
Christy also admitted that she had an identity crisis after welcoming her first daughter.
She felt guilty and wanted to get back to work, but soon found her footing as a mother.
WRITING HER OWN STORY
Besides acting and singing, Christy has also become
She wrote about her pregnancies and the struggles of motherhood, to what was going on in her life at that moment.

It received accolades from the New York Public Library as the 2007 Teenage Book of the Year.
She has also directed many music videos and movies during her career and narrated audiobooks.
While her last acting role was in 2019, Christy has stepped back from the spotlight in recent years and has been busy being a mom, blogging, and starting her own podcast.
