What type of cancer did Stanley Tucci have?

In September of 2021, Stanley Tucci revealed a battle he had with cancer three years prior.

While speaking with magazine, Stanley opened up about his experience with cancer of the tongue.

"It was too big to operate, so they had to do high-dose radiation and chemo," he said at the time.

His first wife, Kathryn, passed away from breast cancer in April of 2009.

When Stanley received his own diagnosis in 2018, he originally vowed not to undergo treatments.

"I'd vowed I'd never do anything like that, because my first wife died of cancer, and to watch her go through those treatments for years was horrible," he said.

He and Kate shared three children together: Camilla, Nicolo, and Isabel.

Stanley added: "The kids were great, but it was hard for them."

What has Stanley Tucci said about his diagnosis?

Stanley Tucci believes his cancer is highly unlikely to return.

During an interview with  in March of 2022, Stanley explained his wife's love and support helped the actor to survive his diagnosis.

"Felicity's undying attention, affection and encouragement got me through it," said Stanley.

Stanley and Felicity Blunt married in 2012.

Following his remission, Stanley published a book entitled Taste: My Life Through Food.

His return to food was "just the most exciting thing in the world," he said.

In January 2021, Stanley Tucci opened up about the death of his first wife.
