Teen Mom Kayla Sessler accused of blackfishing again in new video as fans say she is ‘trying too hard’

, which was set to a song, Kayla started off untanned wearing a black tank top and her hair pulled back.

She wagged her finger to the camera before beginning to apply the tanning product.

Immediately, her skin took on a much darker color - which the product is intended to do.

Fans seemed to believe that she was using a tanning product too dark for her.

One critic commented: "I’m confused at how y’all degraded & literally killed African Americans , for the color of our God given majestic features , & then tan to be darker. Just to be like us ! Make it make sense please"

Another wrote: "White girls wanna be tan!"

A third commenter wrote: "Trying hard. huh"

Someone else chimed in: "Black women will always be THE BLUEPRINT."

While several people attacked Kayla, she also had a number of people come to her defense.

One supporter wrote: "What’s with all the haters claiming she’s trying to be black because she’s put a bit of fake tan on… I’m white and pale but in the summer I go dark, is the sun trying to make me black? No. She could probably go that dark by staying out in the sun too but doesn’t wanna damage her skin so fake tanning is a better option for her. girls just tryna give herself some colour and glow and everyone getting so mad about it for what exactly…. Literally can’t do anything these days without someone turning all hulk over it"

Another commented: "I’m confused at these comments lol so she’s suppose to be pale because y’all want her to be herself??? Or is it because she’s not black??? Lmaooooooo I am black and I’m probably lighter than her, so does that mean I can’t tan? If not I’d really be miserable"

Several commenters ignored the drama all together, simply commenting about the tanner and asking where to get it and for more information about it.

This isn't the first time Kayla has been criticized and accused of trying to look a race other than her own.

'RIDICULOUS'

In September 2021, Kayla was once again accused of blackfishing.

The drama began after she shared a selfie video online, looking tanner than usual with long black hair.

The photo made its way onto Reddit, where users claimed Kayla was unrecognizable.

One critic commented: "Did she get a racial transplant? Or does she identify as black?"

Another wrote: "Even her emoji is Blackfishing."

A third Reddit user wrote: "She wants to be black."

Commenters also questioned whether Kayla had gotten work done, noting that the video "Doesn't look like her."

'CAN'T BE HER!'

A month earlier, in August, Kayla was accused of trying to appear Black again.

She shared a selfie at the time, in which she appeared more tan than usual.

In the photo, Kayla posed with her hair in a slick, long twist braid.

She wore a black and white crop top and made a serious face at the camera.

The reality star captioned the post: "5'5 and she too fine."

Her photo was posted on Reddit, where fans questioned her intentions and accused her of blackfishing once more.

"I wonder what her natural hair color is cuz she honestly looks better with dark hair. Idk about all the filters and vague blackfishing going on thoooo," One user wrote.

Another commented: "Lol that her own scalp is outing her blackfishing so hard. Got a damn no passing zone running down the middle of her head. She better watch out or somebody's gonna try to short that line."

A third commenter wrote: "Ok so legit question, I've just searched her IG and this girl is WHITE, like madly super white. How the hell has she done this? This isn't just some basic make up, it's a whole a** look."

Kayla has been accused of blackfishing and cultural appropriation numerous times.

She shares daughter Ariah with Luke Davis and son Izaiah with ex Stephan Alexander.
