What did Priyanka Chopra say about the internet rumors?

Chopra says she is accustomed to having her life constantly scrutinized, but she didn't realize a name change on her social media would result in such drastic rumors.

"It’s a very vulnerable feeling, actually, that if I post a picture, everything that’s behind me in that picture is going to be zoomed in on, and people are going to speculate,” Priyanka said in an interview with .

This isn't the first time Chopra's life has been put under a microscope. When she married Nick Jonas, 29, who is 10 years her junior, people on social media accused her of using him to get ahead in her career.

She also received the Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Social Justice in 2016 and in 2019 UNICEF awarded her the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award for her philanthropic work.

But for all the critique she still gets, she said, “It’s just a professional hazard.

"Because of the noise of social media, because of the prevalence that it has in our lives, I think it seems a lot larger than it is. I think that we give it a lot more credence in real life, and I don’t think it needs that.”
