When is Kanye West’s new album, Donda 2 out?
FOLLOWING the release of Kanye West's Donda album in August 2021, he is back and bringing a new approach to the music industry with his upcoming album, Donda 2.
The album was set to drop on February 22 but missed its release date.
When is Donda 2 being released?
Donda 2 will be the eleventh studio album by American rapper Kanye West, who now goes by the name Ye.
The album will be released through GOOD Music, the record label founded by Ye himself in 2004, and was scheduled to be released on February 22, 2022.
The initial release date would have been on the anniversary of Ye's ex-wife Kim Kardashian's father's death.
Two days after Ye was supposed to drop his latest album it remains unavailable on streaming services including Spotify and Apple Music, but four songs from Donda 2 are currently available on Ye's Stem Player.
In an Instagram post, Ye said, "Donda 2 will only be available on my own platform, the Stem Player. Not on Apple Amazon Spotify or YouTube.
"Today artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system.
"It’s time to take control and build our own. Go to stemplayer.com now to order."
Ye launched the Stem Player in 2021 and fans can gain access for $200 through his website.

How can I listen to it?
While many fans are used to streaming music through sites such as Apple Music and Spotify, it will cost about $200 to listen to Ye's new album.
The four songs released exclusively on Stem Player are Security, Pablo, Broken Road, and We Did It Kid.
The four songs can be streamed through Ye's Donda Stem Player which not only allowers users to listen to music but also allows users to control vocals drums, bass, and samples.
Ye launched the Stem Player in 2021 and fans can gain access for $200 through his website.
What has Kanye West said about the new album?
Ye is attempting to make a statement with his latest album after reportedly turning down a $100million deal with Apple.
"After 10 albums after being under 10 contracts. I turned down a hundred million dollar Apple deal. No one can pay me to be disrespected," Ye wrote in an .
"We set our own price for our art. Tech companies made music practically free so if you don’t do merch sneakers and tours you don’t eat.
"...I run this company 100% I don’t have to ask for permission. This is our 2nd generation stemplayer We have more things we working on," he continued.

The album will reportedly include 22 songs.
Earlier this year, Ye released two additional songs including City of Gods and Eazy, both of which took shots at Kim Kardashian's new boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
