Hilary Duff slammed for letting daughter Banks, 3, ride in Younger co-star’s car without a car seat
HILARY Duff was slammed for letting her three-year-old daughter Banks ride in her Younger co-star’s car without a car seat.
Actress Molly Bernard shared a video of Banks sitting in the back of a moving car.
In the clip posted to Instagram on Sunday night, Banks told Molly, 33, that she’s “drop dead gorgeous.”
The post also included selfies of Molly and Banks in the back of the car, along with a video of a RuPaul Drag Race contestant Alyssa Edwards stating: “I don’t get cute. I get drop dead gorgeous.”
Molly, who starred alongside Hilary, 34, on Younger, captioned the post: “You heard the girl next up: backrolls.”
Shortly after the actress shared photos and videos, fans rushed to the comments section to slam Hilary and Molly for allowing Banks to ride in the moving vehicle without a car seat.
SAFETY FIRST
One person wrote: “She adorable but shouldn’t she be in a booster seat?”
Another added: “Why isn’t she strapped in safely.”

A following concerned fan commented: “This is against the law. It's child endangerment and I hope there will be a cps investigation. Poor kid.”
The backlash continued as another person wrote: “It’s against the law for her to not be in a booster until she is 8. it could kill her. this is not about people minding their own business…it’s about seriously endangering this child’s life.”
Hilary shares daughters Banks and Mae, nine months, with husband Matthew Koma.
She gave birth to Mae in March, announcing the news with a sweet black and white family snap, writing: "Mae James Bair- We LOVE you beauty 3-24-21."
Hilary had announced her pregnancy in October of 2020, after keeping the news under wraps for several months.
The Lizzie McGuire star is also the mother to son Luca, nine, with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
PARENTING BACKLASH
Backlash for Molly's recent video is not the first time Hilary has been slammed for her parenting decisions.
Back in November, Hilary posted a sweet photo of Mae smiling at the camera on her Instagram Story after she got her ears pierced.
She wrote: "Yes ! I pierced her ears today. Can't wait for the internet to call me a child abuser...again. Lesss go."
The singer's caption was referring to the backlash she received in 2019, when she also pierced her older daughter Banks Violet' ears when the tot was seven months old.
While sharing a photo of Banks at the time, the How I Met Your Father star said: "She has enough hair for a pony! Oh and yes we pierced her ears."
Critics slammed her decision, with one comparing the move to "child abuse."
