The Bogdanoff twins: Who was Igor and what was his cause of death?

GRICHKA Bogdanoff, a French television personality, died at the age of 72 on December 28, 2021, and had left behind his twin brother Igor.

Just six days after his brother's death, it was then announced by Igor's agent that he had also passed away.

Who was Grichka Bogdanoff's twin brother Igor? 

Born on August 29, 1949, Igor Bogdanoff was known as a TV producer and host from France. Similar to his late brother, Igor was also a scientific essayist.

Igor left behind six children and was married to French writer and historian Amélie de Bourbon Parme before their divorce.

There is not much information about his family made public as he and his family have kept their lives private.

He was also active on Instagram where he had 15.5 thousand followers with whom he shared images of his family and vacations. 

What has Igor's cause of death?

It was announced on January 3, 2022, that Igor had passed away "surrounded by his children and his family," according to his agent.

While a specific cause of death has yet to be revealed, it is being reported that it was due to a Covid-19 diagnosis, the same disease that took the life of his brother Grichka.

Neither Igor nor Grichka had been vaccinated against the coronavirus, according to .

What happened to the Bogdanoff twins?

Grichka was allegedly hospitalized in Paris on December 15, 2021, after becoming infected with Covid-19 and suffering from severe sickness.

The Bogdanoffs' agent later said in a statement that Grichka died on December 28, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.

Who are the Bogdanoff twins? 

The Bogdanoffs, who are descended from European aristocracy, first debuted on television in 1979, hosting the 1980s TV show Temps X, which was one of the country's earliest science fiction series.

They went on to appear on a variety of science shows, mostly dealing with science fiction and space exploration.

Grichka and Igor became entangled in the "Bogdanoff affair" in 2001, when a series of articles written by the brothers describing what they claimed happened during the Big Bang was published in renowned peer-reviewed scientific journals, despite a later assessment indicating their theses had no scientific merit.

The Bogdanoff brothers have become well-known personalities in the bitcoin industry in recent years and featured on the French version of The Masked Singer in 2020.
