Kim Kardashian ‘to relaunch KKW Beauty early next year’ WITHOUT ‘W’ & Kanye West’s influence to ‘mark her independence’
KIM Kardashian “will relaunch KKW Beauty early next year” but WITHOUT the “W” to “mark her independence” from Kanye West, The Sun can reveal.
The beauty billionaire is removing “West” from her company’s title as she rebrands her entire cosmetics line following her high-profile divorce from the rapper.
A source close to the SKIMS designer told The Sun that Kim, 41, will “relaunch her beauty brand early next year with sleeker, sexier and more elegant packaging.”
The insider claimed that the KKW reboot will “no longer have ‘West’ or ‘W’ attached."
According to the source: “Kim is determined to mark her independence from him.
“She is grateful for everything he’s done for her but she wants to make it clear she can do this without him.”
The informant continued: “Kanye was very involved with the planning process of KKW, his input highly influenced what ended up being KKW Beauty.
“While she loved everything she did previously, she thought some was not completely in line with how she wanted the brand to look.
“This time, it’s her vision and it’s all Kim which is what she’s been wanting all along.”

Kanye has a large stake in not only KKW, but Kim's successful shape-wear line, SKIMS.
The source said the new brand will “focus on being higher end but still appealing to a wider audience.”
“It won’t be incredibly expensive but she wants it to look very expensive. And it was important for Kim to make this brand cleaner and more eco friendly.
“She has worked hard on this for a long time now and wants this to be a sign of her being an independent and successful business woman,” they added.
While it has not yet been announced what name Kim will relaunch her brand with, she has recently filed for a trademark for the name SKKN.
However, SKKN is previously owned by a small New York City business - who served the reality star with a cease and desist later.
It’s not’s currently clear if Kim will continue with the name, but documents obtained by The Sun showed SKKN's trademark paperwork was filed as recently as last month - making it appear she’s moving forward.
A rep for Kim did not return The Sun’s request for comment.
KKW'S SHOCKING SHUTDOWN
However, a source previously told that Kim did originally receive input from the Yeezy designer about her new line.
The outlet said: “The rebrand has been in the works for some time.
“Kanye actually helped Kim come up with the new name, the packaging, the formulas and even the shopping experience of being able to shop all categories in beauty and cosmetics under one brand, one website [which] has always been Kim’s vision from the beginning.
“She is incredibly excited about this next phase."
Earlier this year, The KUWTK star shocked fans as she announced her famed cosmetics line will temporarily shut down and undergo a dramatic makeover.
In a lengthy Instagram statement, she wrote: “To our loyal customers. It all started with a contour kit and expanded to eyes, lips, body and many incredible collections over the past four years.
“On August 1st at midnight we will be shutting down the site so that we can come back to you under a completely new brand with new formulas that are more modern, innovative and packaged in an elevated and sustainable new look."
She added: “I’m excited to continue to develop and expand my product range and for you to finally be able to experience it the way that I have always envisioned."
The massive company shift will also include a complete name change to reflect her “independence” after Kim's split from Kanye, The Sun first exclusively revealed in July.
MISS INDEPENDENT
An insider explained: “She feels the strongest and most independent she's felt in her life so she wants this brand to feel completely hers now.
“In order to do that she obviously needs to drop the 'West' part from the branding.
“Kanye wants it to succeed so he was supportive of the decision and at the end of the day, he also seemed happy to disassociate from the brand."
The source continued to claim: "Lack of sales haven't seemed like a huge concern for Kim or the team so that wasn't really a factor in the decision."
