Why is Doja Cat not performing at Jingle Ball 2021?

THE iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2021 tour began on December 10 at Madison Square Garden.

The holiday concert will have a total of 10 performers, Doja Cat has since withdrawn from the tour.

Why is Doja Cat not performing at Jingle Ball 2021?

On the first day of the Jingle Ball 2021 tour Doja Cat took to Instagram to announce she would have to withdraw from the iHeartRadio holiday tour.

The 26-year-old singer wrote on Instagram that "a few members on my production team have tested positive for Covid 19 and are now on quarantine," she said.

Two days later on December 12, 2021 the singer revealed that she too had tested positive for the coronavirus.

"I'm sad to share that I just tested positive as well and will no longer be able to perform on the rest of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour," she wrote.

She revealed that she will be able to make it to the "Philly, DC, Atlanta, and Miami" shows in the post.

"I'm doing ok and look forward to recovering and getting back out there as soon as i can!" the singer wrote.

She shared that the rest of the Jingle Ball Tour has "some really great lineups," and that she "wish I could be there."

Who else is performing at the 2021 Jingle Ball?

The multiple date tour will have a total of ten performers for the Jingle Ball.

Some of the performers include:

  • Ed Sheeran
  • The Jonas Brothers
  • Saweetie

It was announced over the weekend that Lil Nas X and Coldplay would both be forced to withdraw from Capital FM's 2021 Jingle Bell Ball in London after members of their respective teams also tested positive for COVID.

"Of course, everyone at Capital is absolutely gutted, but the show must go on," the U.K. radio station said of the news.

Who is replacing the withdrawn performers?

In light of the people withdrawn from the tour British rapper ArrDee and rocker Tom Grennan  joined the show's lineup.

Justin Bieber also performed during the show over the weekend.
