Lindsay Lohan's relationship with singer-songwriter, Aaron Carter, tore up her friendship with Hilary Duff, who had previously dated Carter for a year and a half before her.
Duff and Carter had met on the set of the Lizzie McGuire movie in 2001.
Carter was reported saying "I was dating her [Duff] for like a year and a half and then I just got a little bored so I went and I started getting to know Lindsay [Lohan], dating Lindsay," according to .
