Tori Spelling feels ‘trapped’ in marriage after Dean McDermott ‘threatened to sue her for alimony if she divorces him’

TORI Spelling has been feeling “trapped” in her marriage to husband Dean McDermott after concerns with a possible divorce were raised.

The Canadian actor, 54, reportedly threatened to sue his wife of 15 years for alimony if she tried to leave him.

The longtime couple have been on the “brink of divorce” for months, with friends close to them surprised it didn’t happen years ago.

A source told that further tension and threats between Tori and Dean might be why they have yet to official split.

The insider said the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum “wants a divorce, but she feels trapped right now.”

They added that Dean recently “went missing” for a couple days after getting into an argument with his wife, and that only led to the two having an even bigger “fight” upon his return.

The couple started arguing about divorce, according to the outlet, when he threatened to to sue Tori, who has been open up about her many money troubles, for child support and alimony .

Tori and Dean, who have been married since 2006, share five kids – Liam, 14, Stella, 13, Hattie, nine, Finn, nine, and Beau, four.

Though Dean signed a prenup, the insider said Tori “went ballistic” went she she learned her husband could still sue for the money and got “pissed” at her attorneys.

Aside from the monetary aspect, the actress has also only stayed in the marriage “for the kids,” despite being “miserable.”

Although a split has long seemed to be on the horizon, a source recently told The Sun that neither Tori nor Dean can afford to file for divorce right now.

The insider said: “Tori and Dean are totally stuck together right now. Neither of them can afford to go through divorce proceedings.”

According to the source, the couple’s “five kids” and many “pets” are a major reason for their money struggles.

Despite all of the anger and friction between the parents, they tried to put that aside to enjoy a recent family trip to Disneyland.

While Tori looked to be all smiles in photos with her kids, pictures from the same trip obtained by The Sun showed the actress glaring and Dean, 54, while pushing her youngest son, Beau, in a stroller.

The couple, rumored to be in the middle of a nasty split, were spotted strolling through the amusement park with their other kids following along on foot.

They were also seen staying at a nearby hotel.

Dean wore sunglasses throughout the day and appeared significantly less happy than his embattled wife appeared in photos.

In addition to photos with her kids, Tori shared snaps of other family members who were also at Disneyland, as the family was there to celebrate her niece’s birthday at the park.

The trip marked son Beau’s first visit to Disneyland, according to Tori’s posts.

Prior to the family fun, Tori was spotted shouting while carrying on a phone conversation outside her lawyer’s office.

As first reported by , photos from the moment showed her carrying a large notepad under her arm.

The pad had notes about “custody,” “support” and “assets” scrawled on it, providing clues as to what Tori’s meeting with her lawyers was about.

Fueling split speculation is the fact that the actress has been spending an increasing amount of time without her husband.

The pair have also both been pictured out and about without their wedding rings recently.
