BRITNEY Spears “cried for two hours” because the pop star’s fans “freed her from her conservatorship” as she thanked the #FreeBritney movement in a heartfelt post.
Since officially forming in 2019 but just gaining worldwide attention this Summer, the have been credited with the recent victories in her ongoing with dad .
With on Monday, the 39-year-old switched over to Twitter to share her gratitude with her army.
“#FreeBritney movement… I have no words … because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship…
“My life is now in that direction !!!!! I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it,” Britney tweeted.
She concluded: “I feel your hearts and you feel mine… that much I know is true.”
The movement began in early 2019 with a group of fans who claimed was "being manipulated and controlled under the grounds of her conservatorship."
The group began to gain traction after reports surfaced that year that Britney was allegedly "forced" into a mental health institution "against her will."
While most of the support and protesting from the #FreeBritney group began online, a small amount of people would show up at the Los Angeles courthouse where many of her hearings take place.
However, that number has multiplied to hundreds - if not thousands - who gathered to support at her latest hearing.
After years of silence on the fan-led mission, people were beyond thrilled she was not only speaking out about the movement but full approved of it.
"You have no idea what you mean to us <3 can't wait for the next chapter in your life whatever that may be," one person commented under her tweet.
Another wrote of their mutual gratitude: "I’ll be crying for 2 hours tonight after rereading these tweets a million times!"
While a third said: "We love you more than anything and will be by your side FOREVER.
"You helped me when I couldn’t help myself and I hope you know I will never be able to thank you enough. You are my light, our light, and it’s YOUR time to live YOUR life!!!!"
A fourth gushed: "We love you so much Britney, always have and always will! We truly made the world stand up, take notice and listen to you, be free, you owe us nothing in return."
Public interest in the movement skyrocketed in 2021 after several documentaries following the star's life debuted on Hulu, Netflix and CNN.
Fans even went as far as to demanding to allow Britney to choose her own lawyer in her conservatorship case after 13 years of being refused that right.
Due to that loud outcry, in July, Britney's hand-selected counsel, Mathew Rosengart, stepped in to act as her attorney - the first big win for the case.
Following the months since he joined the team, Mathew has already scored some successful advantages - with the biggest being last weeks ruling against her father.
The Mickey Mouse Club alum scored a in court when granted the suspension of , 69, from the conservatorship after a 13-year battle.
