On September 30, 2021, it was announced that Miley Cyrus, 29, will host NBC’s New Year’s special that is scheduled to be produced by Saturday Night Live (SNL) creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels.
It was announced on December 9, 2021, that SNL actor Pete Davidson will be joining her as co-host of Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party Hosted by Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidsion.
first reported the news and revealed that NBC signed the singer to a “multi-hour, multi-city event with musical performances from numerous artists, including, most likely, Cyrus herself.”

Miley and Pete are replacing The Voice host, Carson Daly, who had been hosting the event for the network since 2004.
