Willie Garson pictured filming final Sex And The City scenes just last month before his sudden death at 57

WILLIE Garson was filming for his final Sex And The City scenes just weeks before his death - as he was spotted on the New York set.

The actor, who passed away at the age of 57 on Tuesday following a short battle with illness, had been acting alongside his HBO co-stars in August.

Willie played played Stanford Blatch - the best friend of protagonist Carrie Bradshaw, depicted by Sarah Jessica Parker, in the iconic series.

The star is due to appear in a spin-off series, And Just Like That, which he was seen filming alongside Sarah Jessica, 56, just last month.

Willie was hard at work on the revival, and had been photographed alongside his on-screen husband Mario Cantone filming in NYC.

The star had been dressed to the nines in a three-piece suit and dark tortoiseshell sunglasses for the scene on August 2.

The Hawaii Five-O star could be seen being followed around by cameras and crew for the scene with Mario, 61, and Sarah Jessica.

On the following day, the star was seen collecting his breakfast from a nearby cafe - sipping on his morning coffee before filming began.

Willie had been on set for weeks - as he was pictured on July 24 wearing a bright blue suit as he and his co-stars were filmed at the Lyceum Theatre.

He placed a gentle kiss on the cheek of Carrie Bradshaw actress Sarah Jessica, who looked equally glamorous in a midi skirt and cream suit jacket.

Bosch actor Titus Welliver broke the news of Willie's passing with a post on Tuesday along with a photo of the beloved actor.

"There are no words. I love you dear brother. We are fewer," Titus wrote to his following, as Willie's adopted son Nathen, 20, spoke out in another touching tribute.

"I love you so much papa. Rest in peace and I’m so glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much. I’m so proud of you," he penned.

Co-star Mario also publicly mourned his friend, writing: "I couldn't have had a more brilliant TV partner.
