Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Scott ‘rushed to hospital after suicide attempt’ following years of struggles
EMINEM’S ex-wife Kim Scott was taken to hospital following a suicide attempt, it has been reported.
Cops rushed to 46-year-old Kim’s home in Michigan on July 30 after receiving reports of a suicidal person, has claimed.
Kim was allegedly combative when the police arrived and restrained by deputies.
Paramedics were unable to check her vitals, the outlet reported.
She was rushed to hospital for both medical and psychological evaluation, before returning home for recovery.
Kim and rap superstar – real name Marshall Mathers III – share biological , 25.
Eminem also adopted Kim’s daughter Whitney, 18, from a previous relationship, and Kim’s .
Kim and Eminem, 48, married in 1999 and divorced two years later. They remarried in January 2006 but had broken up again by April.
They first met in 1989 when she was 13 and running away from home with her sister Dawn.
Kim and Dawn moved into a then 15-year-old Eminem’s home at his mom’s trailer park and Kim and Eminem became teenage sweethearts.
Their volatile relationship was touched on in Eminem’s hit movie 8 Mile.
Kim previously attempted suicide in October 2015.
TROUBLED PAST
She said at the time: “I never expected to make it out of that alive. I apologized immensely.
“I did not even expect to make it through that, and I told [police] that I tried to do this on purpose.”
Kim said Eminem helped her afterwards, explaining: “He’s been real supportive. We’re really close.
“We’re just trying to raise our kids together and make it as normal for them as possible.”
DRUG ABUSE
Kim has been arrested multiple times for drug possession over the years.
Her sister Dawn had a history of drug abuse and died of a heroin overdose in 2016.
Eminem has written several songs about their daughter Hailie and last year talked about how “proud” he is of her.
“Hailie is 23, no babies, she has a boyfriend, but she’s doing good,” he said on Mike Tyson’s podcast.
“She’s made me proud for sure. She’s graduated from college.”
