Insiders shared with the publication: "Everyone looks at Armie thinking that he’s had some sort of privileged life — and that must mean there were no problems in his youth and everything was peachy keen.

"But that’s not necessarily the way things go. Just because you come from an upbringing where financial resources are plentiful, doesn’t mean life isn’t without problems."

The insiders also claimed that Armie came to his decision to enter rehab after consulting his estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers.

"This is a clear sign that he is taking back control of his life and knows that this is a step towards his overall well-being," said those close to the situation.

Other sources previously shared: "He drinks a lot and he smokes weed. I mean, there’s no drug he won’t do.

"He’s six feet five so he can literally drink a bottle of vodka and not feel it.

"He has so much trauma that he cannot deal with stillness, face himself, or sit alone with his s**t."

The Call Me By Your Name actor sought help for addictions related to sex, drugs, and alcohol.

Months later on Friday, December 10, a source close to the embattled star told The U.S. Sun: "Armie is out of the treatment facility where he spent almost 9 months.

"He is doing really well and it's wonderful news for his family.

"He's back in the Cayman Islands, and he's looking to spend quality time with his children amid his divorce around Christmas and New Year, and they are thrilled he's taking the right steps to recover."

In the wake of the completion of his nine-month term in rehab, Armie continues to face controversy.

The controversy surrounding the embattled star and his family is the subject of the Discovery+ documentary House of Hammer, which is scheduled to air on the platform on Friday, September 2.

Regarding the actor's take on House of Hammer, a source told : "Armie is trying to prepare himself as much as he can for the House of Hammer documentary.

"He has an idea about what's coming. Despite this, Armie has been trying to move forward as much as possible emotionally speaking and in terms of his career.

"He's sober and has been committed to that, his friends are nervous that the documentary will crush him."

On August 9, 2022, The U.S. Sun spotted Armie back in Beverly Hills, California after spending an extended amount of time in the Cayman Islands.

The disgraced Rebecca actor is also facing a divorce from his estranged wife and mother of his two children, Elizabeth Chambers.
