Where is Britney Spears’ mom?
BRITNEY Spears' conservatorship ended in November 2021 after a long battle to end it.
Here's everything we know about Spears' journey to end the conservatorship and the role her mother played in it.
Who is Britney Spears' mom Lynne?
Lynne Spears is an author who was born on May 4, 1955, in Magnolia, Mississippi.
She so happens to be the mother of Britney Spears, Bryan Spears, and Jamie Lynn Spears.
She married James "Jamie" Spears in July 1976, however, they divorced in 2002.
Lynne has co-written two books with her daughter Britney, "Heart to Heart" a biographical book about her daughter - which was published in 2000 - and "A Mother's Gift" published in 2001.
Is her mother part of Britney's conservatorship?
The singer was in court on September 29, 2021, along with both parents.
The purpose of the court hearing was to share arguments on ending the conservatorship, which was originally set for January 28, 2021, before it was pushed forward due to the pandemic.
Following her estranged father’s initial suspension from her conservatorship, Britney had been celebrating the good news.
The pop star posted an Instagram of her on a plane and captioned it "cloud 9".

However, her mom then posted a cryptic Instagram Story that featured rosary beads following the court hearing.
Britney Spears' conservatorship was implemented in 2008 after the star had a series of public meltdowns.
The arrangement put her financial assets, estate, and personal assets under the control of her father, Jamie, and lawyer Andrew Wallet, who has since resigned.
Britney had made several attempts to end the conservatorship in the past, but they have been rejected.
In July 2020, Lynne filed legal documents on behalf of Britney, wanting to have a role in her daughter's finances "specifically the trust which holds most of Britney's multi-million dollar assets".
At the time, Lynne spoke to magazine about the responsibility she felt for Britney’s troubles.
“I blame myself,” she told the outlet.
“What mother wouldn’t? I wish I’d been there more while she was touring, but I couldn’t be. I had the other kids to look after.”
“I didn’t raise my children to have Hollywood careers. This all just exploded in my face, and big dreams became big headaches,” she added.
After a long battle, Spears' 13-year conservatorship was formally terminated by an LA judge on November 12, 2021.
In June 2022, Britney accused her mom of abuse saying her mother hid coffee from the pop star for 15 years.
Following the many times Britney has bashed her family, Spears seems ready to turn a new leaf after inviting her mom to talk over the alleged abuse.
In an Instagram post on December 20, 2022, Spears posted a photo of herself captioned: "After no coffee for 15 years ... Mom we can go have coffee together now !!! I'm treated as an equal ... let's have coffee and talk about it !!!"
Where is Britney Spears today?
Following the end of Spears' conservatorship, the singer had gotten married to her longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari.
The two couldn't get tie the knot due to the conservatorship. Once it ended, the pair got hitched on June 9, 2022.
However, it seems the two may be heading for Splitsville after executive producer Harvey Levin in Britney's documentary alludes to tension within their marriage.
TMZ released a documentary on Monday, May 15, 2023, called TMZ Investigates: Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom which highlights her career after her conservatorship ended.
