Stephanie Davis allegedly assaulted by Jeremy McConnell as he is investigated by police over ‘attack’
JEREMY McConnell is being investigated by police over claims he assaulted his on-off girlfriend Stephanie Davis.
The reality star may now face questions from Merseyside Police officers following the alleged altercation in Liverpool on Thursday, March 9, after officers confirmed they are probing the claims.
The complaint was made last Sunday with the alleged victim, Stephanie, giving a statement to police.
A police spokesperson said: “Merseyside Police can confirm a report was received of an assault at a property on Thursday 9 March.
“Officers were contacted on Sunday, 12 March and an investigation into the incident is on-going.
“At this time no arrests have been made.”
A representative for Jeremy said: "Jeremy denies any wrong doing, however he is fully cooperating with the police in their investigations."

It comes after Stephanie shocked fans by showing off some alarming bruises on her legs in a new Snapchat post.
The actress snapped a picture of herself lying in a bubble bath and the image showed what appeared to be some nasty bruises.
Steph did not mention the mysterious marks in her post, and simply captioned the snap: “Trying to relax.”
Hours later, she liked a tweet from a concerned fan who asked the one-time Hollyoaks star, “What the hell has happened to your legs love?”
She liked another that read, “Jesus love, them bruises. Hope you’re OK.”
Earlier today The Sun’s Bizarre column revealed how Jeremy has jetted back to Ireland in the wake of two recent family tragedies.
Jeremy is currently mourning the death of his father and aunt, who died within days of each other, and has taken a break to be with his family.
Yesterday it emerged the new dad has begun seeing a counsellor after struggling to cope with the string of personal tragedies.
An insider said: "Jeremy is in a really bad place at the moment.
"He has been doing everything he can to stay on top of things and hopefully seeing a counsellor will help with the healing process.""He's still grieving from the loss of his dad and his auntie passing away has hit him hard too.
Jeremy has recently been back in touch with his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis, after a paternity test confirmed he is the father of baby Caben-Albi.
The former couple had been at loggerheads for months but have since begun to rebuild a relationship in order to “co-parent” their newborn.
Jeremy has spent the last few weeks in Liverpool to be closer to them, and the family have been pictured out together enjoying themselves.
A spokesperson for Stephanie was unavailable to comment last night.
