Bake Off fans slam show as a ‘fix’ as Phil Thorne is sent home despite Priya O’Shea’s catastrophes
GREAT British Bake Off fans have slammed the show as a "fix" after Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith sent Phil Thorne home - despite other bakers suffering "catastrophes".
The 56-year-old was given his marching orders, even though the judges named Priya O'Shea and Michael Chakraverty as baking bunglers.

One viewer raged: "Total fix and disgrace sending Phil home. Done for viewing figures not baking. Come back BBC."
Another said: "Hhhmmm is it rigged? No way should Phil have goot the boot. Priya was disasterous this week."
A third insisted: "Let's be honest Phil was booted off #GBBO because he isn't the type of baker who draws a following. The others are more TV friendly."
Countless others were on the brink of hysteria, tweeting the likes of: "I'm ringing in sick tomorrow. This is bulls***. JUSTICE FOR PHIL."

Phil was sent home following dairy week, with the judges unimpressed by his lacklustre showstopper - despite others having what viewers felt was a worse week.
Judge Paul Hollywood explained: "Phil was shocked and he had justification to be shocked because it was that tight."
Explaining his decision, he pointed to his showstopper, saying: "It was a bit too boring, a little bit too simple."
But fans did not accept the reasoning, with one writing: "Priya or Michael should have gone. Okay he wasn’t great but he was better those other two."

After learning his fate, Phil said with a tear in his eye: "Dairy week. Curse the dairy week. Still, I had a good run. Such an amazing group of people. I loved every second of it."
It was a difficult week all round, with Paul taking one look at the technical challenge and walking out of the tent.
Casting an eye over the Maids of Honour tarts lined up for him the judge, the 53-year-old said: "They're awful, they're really bad."
Brushing over 34-year-old Priya's effort, he said: "What? I'm not even going to look at that one."
