The Capture fans horrified as man has his fingers cut off – leaving viewers recoiling on their sofas

THE Capture viewers were tonight left sickened as a man was tortured and had his fingers chopped off - one by one.

The grisly scene played out just ten minutes into the show, leaving fans horrified by what they were watching.

The show picked up tonight on Shaun being interrogated by US agent Frank Napier.

But things suddenly took a turn for the worst when Napier revealed Shaun's best mate Mat had been kidnapped and was in another room - which Shaun could watch on CCTV.

Napier asked Shaun where missing lawyer Hannah was and Shaun continued to protest his innocence - despite CCTV footage showing him attacking her.

But to try and extract information out of him, Napier said they would start chopping off Mat's fingers until he revealed where she was.

While Shaun kept saying that he didn't know what had happened to Hannah the men in other room started cutting off Mat's fingers - one by one.

The gory scene was hard to watch with Shaun looking on in horror - all the while saying he has "been set up!"

The scene was like something out of horror film, and fans were left sick to their stomach.

One tweeted: "I'm not watching this if it's violent. There's no need. #TheCapture"

While another one said: "They are going to ruin this by gratuitous violence. #thecapture"

This one commented: "#TheCapture what is going on and why is it messing with my head so much"

Another one tweeted: "THEY JUST CUT HIS THUMB OFF #TheCapture"
