Coronation Street spoilers: Shona Ramsay struggles as Max starts secretly selling his ADHD medication at school
SHONA Ramsey will be pushed to her limits in Coronation Street next week as stepson Max Platt’s behaviour grows worse.
Shona – played by Julia Goulding in the ITV soap – takes Max to see his adopted dad, David Platt, in prison.
Following advice from Audrey, Shona thinks that David can talk some sense into the wayward youngster.
But when David seems pleased that Max is finally settling down, Shona keeps the truth to herself.
Later, Audrey agrees to look after Max in the salon while Shona works. But Max overhears his great-gran tell his aunt Bethany that she wouldn’t be surprised if Shona packed her bags and left.
When Cathy Matthews is horrified after Audrey messes up her hair dye, Audrey is appalled to discover Max sabotaged the mixture and marches him back to Shona.
Later, Cathy arrives at the Rovers in a bobble hat and removes it to show hideous black roots.
Audrey confesses to Claudia that Max was responsible and is pleased when Cathy tells her she can try to fix it.
Shona’s week gets worse when Billy Mayhew reveals that Max has been trying to sell his ADHD medication in the school playground.
Worried about his reaction, Shona eventually tackles Max about selling pills at school, but he’s less than impressed by her interference.
Shona pays a visit to the headmaster and later reveals to Leanne Battersby that Max has been suspended from school.
Leanne tells her that the time has come to be honest with David, but will Shona take her advice?
She pays another visit to the prison and David is incensed to learn Shona has been keeping things from him.
They row, but David calls Shona later and apologises, saying he can’t live without her.
It was revealed last month that David will soon face turmoil in prison when he’s caught up in a riot.
And during the clashes David comes face-to-face with Josh Tucker, the man who raped him, who is stabbed in a melee.

To make matters worse, David’s family watch the drama unfold on the news as police surround the prison.
David manages to call his fiancee Shona from inside the jail during the riot.
He tells her Josh has been stabbed – and it doesn’t look like he is going to make it.
But when she asks whether he stabbed him, David does not answer.
