What is it about?

Modern Love explores love in all of its complicated and beautiful forms as each standalone episode brings some of the most beloved stories from the column to life with a stellar cast,

Anne Hathway, who appeared at the Television Critics Association panel earlier this year, revealed that her story focuses on the Terri Cheney column, regarding a woman with bipolar disorder who is struggling to learn how to love.

“The way we tell stories feels like it changes every single day,” said Hathaway. “And to me, this felt less like a television [series] and more like a short film.

“So I felt like I was showing up to an eight-day film shoot and that spoke to me because my work is primarily [in film]. …I was really happy, because of Amazon being a streaming platform, I knew people were going to see it.”

Elsewhere, Tina Fey and John Slattery play a married couple trying to keep their family together, but doing so proves to be an ever-so-difficult challenge for the two.

The episodes are structured in a way where everyone can relate to at least one of the characters and their dealings with love, romance and relationships.
